No Game No Life does not have a verified published series ending in the official publisher information available here. Japanese volume 13, released April 24, 2026, continues the Demon King arc and leaves Sora and his companions in the midst of a confrontation—not at a confirmed final resolution. Yen Press’s English catalog lists volumes 1–12 and the separate Practical War Game, but not volume 13.
Does the No Game No Life light novel have an ending?
There is no confirmed final ending or published account of Sora and Shiro’s ultimate fate in the official publisher listings cited here. The latest confirmed Japanese story point is volume 13, which KADOKAWA describes as the second half of the Demonias and Demon King arc. Its release and synopsis indicate that the story is still unfolding, rather than presenting a definitive series finale.

This distinction matters because volume 13’s title and promotional copy use the words “true ending.” Those phrases are part of the book’s marketing and do not establish that the light novel itself has concluded.
Spoilers: where volume 13 leaves the story
Spoilers for the volume 13 promotional synopsis. KADOKAWA’s April 24, 2026 announcement places Sora and his party high in the Tower of the Demon King. During the confrontation, Sora is engulfed by a black pillar of light and falls. The synopsis also says he believes the pieces for victory have finally come together. These details describe the volume’s central conflict; they do not confirm what happens afterward or resolve the series’ ending.

- No game no life zero - BD
The Japanese title can be rendered as No Game No Life 13: The Gamer Siblings Seem to Defeat (Save) the “Demon King.” The parenthetical “save” reflects the Japanese title’s reading and signals the ambiguity in how the Demon King’s fate is framed. The title alone is not evidence of a completed resolution.
What does “true ending” mean here?
KADOKAWA’s volume 13 promotional line reads: 「さあ――魔王を倒してトゥルーエンドといこうか」. A working translation is, “Now then—let’s defeat the Demon King and go for the true ending.” This is promotional copy for the volume, not confirmation that the entire light novel has reached its final ending or that the conflict has been settled.

How far are the Japanese and English editions?
The confirmed story position differs by language. KADOKAWA announced the Japanese release of volume 13 for April 24, 2026, while Yen Press’s series catalog lists English volumes 1 through 12 and Practical War Game separately. The catalog consulted does not list an English volume 13; that is a statement about its current listing, not a prediction that no translation will appear.

- Confirmed: Japanese volume 13 was released on April 24, 2026, and covers the second half of the Demon King arc, according to KADOKAWA.
- Confirmed: Yen Press’s cited catalog lists main-series volumes 1–12 and Practical War Game separately.
- Not confirmed: A final published ending for the light novel, the ultimate fate of Sora and Shiro, or the English publication status of volume 13.
Without a publisher-confirmed final volume or ending, claims about how the story ultimately concludes would be speculation. Volume 13 is the latest confirmed Japanese story point in these listings, not a definitive answer to the series’ central mystery.
