What’s actually slowing this PC down?

Partly. The image is based on a genuine panel from the 1984 He-Man minicomic The Clash of Arms, but the suggestive wording in the meme is edited. Fisto’s original line says he “fought” hard and could not “defeat” them all—not that he “fisted” anyone.
What does the original panel say?
In the original dialogue, Fisto tells He-Man: “I fought hard, He-Man, but I could not defeat them all!” The viral version replaces both “fought” and “defeat” with “fisted,” turning an ordinary report of a battle into a crude joke. The altered words are not authentic dialogue from the comic. Austin Gorton’s June 2, 2026 COMICON fact-check reproduces the original panel and compares it with the edited meme.
Where did the panel come from?
The panel appears on page 13 of The Clash of Arms, a Masters of the Universe minicomic included with the third wave of figures in 1984. In the story, Fisto rides Stridor, is captured by Skeletor’s forces, and is made to fight in the Circle of Doom. Whiplash eventually overwhelms him; He-Man arrives and rescues him. The authentic panel is also reproduced in a Dark Horse Comics minicomics collection, as identified by the COMICON fact-check.
Is it from the cartoon episode “Fisto’s Forest”?
No. “Fisto’s Forest” is a separate Filmation cartoon episode, not the source of the meme panel. The He-Man.org archive lists its air date as September 12, 1984, and describes a story in which Fisto reforms from a villain after being influenced by He-Man. That episode information is available in the He-Man.org episode archive.

Who made the edited meme, and when?
The sources reviewed document the meme in a Reddit post by 2018, titled “Fisto and He-Man,” but do not establish who first altered the panel or when it first appeared online. A commenter in that discussion points out that the real line says “I fought HARD He-Man, but I could not DEFEAT them ALL.” That post is evidence that the joke was circulating, not authoritative evidence for the comic’s original wording; the Reddit discussion is user-generated.

- Compare the meme’s lettering with the quoted original line: “I fought hard, He-Man, but I could not defeat them all!”
- Look for the panel on page 13 of The Clash of Arms. The COMICON fact-check reproduces the original panel and the altered version, and identifies a Dark Horse Comics minicomics collection that includes the authentic panel.
The collection is one way to read the minicomic, but buying it is not necessary to understand the distinction: the joke depends on two changed words, not on a different scene or a hidden line elsewhere in the cartoon.
