Yes—but season five is no longer upcoming. FX renewed The Bear in July 2025, then announced season five as the series’ final season. It premiered June 25, 2026, and its eight-episode run finished on FX on August 6, 2026.
What happened after the season-four finale?
Season five starts the morning after Sydney, Richie, and Natalie “Sugar” learn that Carmy has left the food industry and the restaurant in their hands. They face financial pressure and the threat of a sale while preparing for one last service. The season’s central question is whether the team can make that service work—and earn a Michelin star.
The Walt Disney Company’s May 6, 2026 announcement framed the season’s theme this way: “Ultimately, they learn that what makes a restaurant ‘perfect’ might not be the food, but the people.” Read the announcement.
When did season five come out, and how many episodes are there?
The season premiered June 25, 2026, with all eight episodes available at streaming debut. FX then aired the episodes weekly through August 6. The official listing identifies episode eight, the finale, as “The Original Beef of Chicagoland,” dated August 6, 2026. The official episode listing describes season five as the fifth and final season.

Where can you watch season five?
- United States: The season streams on Hulu; episodes also aired on FX. Eligible Hulu + Disney+ bundle subscribers can access Hulu through Disney+.
- Internationally: Disney+ is the listed destination, but availability varies by location.

How did the renewal become the final season?
FX announced the season-five pickup on July 2, 2025, after season four debuted. On May 6, 2026, Disney announced that the coming season would be the final one and set its premiere date.
