Is Shinjuku Showdown the final arc of Jujutsu Kaisen?
In the completed manga, Shinjuku Showdown is the story’s climactic final conflict. VIZ identifies Jujutsu Kaisen, Vol. 30 as the final volume and describes its central confrontation this way: “The final battle between Itadori and Sukuna reaches its climax!” The publisher synopsis also names Fushiguro as part of the final struggle. VIZ’s Volume 30 listing is the clearest official confirmation of the arc’s endgame role.

Did Gege Akutami confirm the arc is the endgame?
Not in the official material cited here. VIZ credits Gege Akutami with both story and art, but its product page does not say Akutami personally called Shinjuku Showdown the endgame or announced that framing in an interview. The distinction matters: the arc’s place at the climax is supported by the final-volume listing, while attributing a specific announcement or phrase to Akutami is not established by these sources.
VIZ’s official chapter page identifies Akutami as the creator and points readers to official ways to read the manga, including MANGA Plus for the latest free chapters available in a reader’s location. What readers can—and cannot—infer
The publisher’s description establishes the final battle’s central place in the last volume, and the volume’s “final” designation confirms the manga is complete. Calling Shinjuku Showdown the endgame is therefore a reasonable description of its role in the finished story. It should not be presented as a direct creator quote or personal announcement unless a verifiable statement from Akutami is available.
