What is different in the longer cut?
Apple says the cut adds 48 minutes of new, previously unseen footage. The added material develops Josephine’s origins, includes more elaborate costumes and larger sets, and restores a previously unreleased scene depicting the Battle of Marengo. Apple describes these additions in its release announcement.
