Nobody Wants This is a Netflix romantic comedy about an outspoken agnostic podcaster and an unconventional rabbi who fall for each other. The “No. 1” ranking and 93% Rotten Tomatoes score in the headline were reported in September 2024, shortly after the show premiered; they are historical figures, not verified current standings or scores.
What is Nobody Wants This about?
Created by Erin Foster, the series stars Kristen Bell as Joanne, an agnostic podcaster focused on sex and dating, and Adam Brody as Noah, a rabbi whose approach is less conventional than she expects. Their relationship brings together different outlooks on faith and life, while modern dating complications and sometimes-intrusive families add friction. Netflix gives the premise and cast details on its series overview.
The central draw is the unlikely pairing and the romantic tension between Joanne and Noah. It is a relationship-led comedy rather than a documentary or a factual guide to Judaism; viewers looking for an exploration of religious practice should treat the series as fiction.
What did the 93% Rotten Tomatoes figure mean?
Tom’s Guide reported on September 30, 2024, that Rotten Tomatoes showed a 93% critics score based on just under 30 reviews and a 91% audience score. The article noted that the figures could change as more reviews accumulated. These are figures reported at that time, not scores independently confirmed as current. The cited Tom’s Guide article is a dated snapshot; it does not establish the series’ present-day Rotten Tomatoes rating.

Was it really Netflix’s No. 1 show?
Tom’s Guide described Nobody Wants This as Netflix’s No. 1 show in the release-week coverage published September 30, 2024, a few days after its debut. That statement refers to the chart position reported at the time, not a current ranking. Netflix’s official trailer page lists September 26, 2024 as the series’ debut date: Netflix Tudum’s trailer page.
Is Nobody Wants This on Netflix now?
Netflix Tudum says all 10 episodes of season one are streaming and that season two is streaming. The same official source says season three is scheduled for October 22, 2026. Streaming availability and schedules can vary by location and change, and Netflix’s pages cited here do not provide a territory-by-territory availability map. Who is likely to enjoy it?
It is a reasonable pick if you want a relationship-centered comedy built around an unexpected couple and the contrast between their perspectives. The lead pairing is also central to the show’s appeal: in the 2024 Tom’s Guide article, a Times of London review was quoted as praising the “old-fashioned chemistry between Bell and Brody.” That is the article’s attribution of another critic’s view, not a guarantee that every viewer will respond the same way.
