No. In a September 11, 2026 interview with The New York Times, Kai Cenat said he loves streaming and would never stop. He had taken nine months away from regular streaming to learn fashion and build his label, Vivet; by the time of the interview, he had returned to regular programming and completed the second Streamer University.
Why did Kai Cenat take a break from streaming?
Cenat said he wanted to make room for interests beyond streaming. Before Mafiathon 3, he decided he needed to step back and focus on other things. He described Mafiathon 3 as 30 days of streaming, with cameras around him around the clock, and said he could not learn fashion from the ground up while streaming at the same time.
His break from regular streaming lasted nine months, according to the New York Times interview. That was a pause to pursue another project, not an announcement that he was leaving streaming permanently.
What did he do during the break?
Cenat focused on fashion and Vivet, his label. He said he spent time in factories, met manufacturers face to face, traveled, and learned about materials and production. The Times reported that Vivet’s first collection debuted on a runway on September 12, 2026.

What did Kai Cenat say about quitting?
Speaking to The New York Times, Cenat said: “I truly do love streaming, I adore streaming, I would never stop.” His own statement is clear: the nine-month break was about pursuing fashion, not quitting streaming.
