Jennifer Lopez said “Deny. No cigarettes” in a 2020 interview, rejecting the suggestion that she smoked one cigarette a week. A June 2026 report attributes a newer no-smoking statement to her, but the underlying interview could not be independently checked. The available evidence is what Lopez has publicly said—not independent confirmation of her private behavior today.
What Jennifer Lopez said about smoking
In a 2020 Vanity Fair interview, the interviewer asked, “You have one cigarette a week.” Lopez answered: “Deny. No cigarettes.” This is the clearest located first-person statement on the question, but it documents her answer at that time rather than independently verifying her behavior.

What earlier profiles reported
Earlier coverage also described Lopez as not smoking. In 2016, Entertainment Tonight reported that she credited clean living, including no smoking, caffeine, or alcohol. A 2018 Harper’s Bazaar profile likewise described her as not drinking or smoking. These are historical accounts, not proof of her current private habits.
What the 2026 report adds—and what it does not establish
A June 17, 2026 article from TN attributes this statement to Lopez in an interview with Hollywood Life: “No tomo alcohol, no fumo ni consumo cafeína” (“I don’t drink alcohol, I don’t smoke, and I don’t consume caffeine”). The Hollywood Life interview itself could not be located, so this is a secondary report of a newer statement, not an independently checked quotation from the original interview.

So, is she still a smoker?
The most accurate answer is that Lopez has publicly said she does not smoke: directly in 2020, and according to TN’s 2026 report. Those statements support saying she has denied smoking; they do not establish her private behavior today. No independent confirmation of her current smoking status is available from these accounts.
