What proves Farrah Fawcett Hair Spray existed?
The clearest contemporary evidence is a 1979 newspaper advertisement. Shoppers Drug Mart’s ad in the Gander Beacon listed “Also available Farrah Fawcett Hair Spray 400 ml,” alongside Farrah Fawcett shampoo or conditioner. That dated retail listing shows the spray was marketed as a physical product, not just a phrase remembered from television.
A separate archival collection record describes three 1970s aerosol cans as Farrah Fawcett Hair Spray by Fabergé. Together, the advertisement and the archived cans support the historical product name and its Fabergé connection.
Why do people associate it with Stranger Things?
The question also circulates because Steve Harrington tells Dustin in Stranger Things to use Fabergé Organics shampoo and conditioner, followed by four puffs of spray on damp hair. That line is a pop-culture reference to Farrah Fawcett’s hair and the product name; it is not, by itself, evidence that the spray existed. The dated advertisement supplies that historical evidence.
