David Letterman married Regina Lasko on March 19, 2009. However, the available reporting here does not include a recent direct statement from either of them or a current official record confirming whether they remain married. The latest cited coverage to call Lasko his wife is from 2012, so a present-day status should be treated as unconfirmed.

Who is David Letterman’s wife?

Regina Lasko is the woman identified as Letterman’s spouse in the report of their wedding and in later coverage of their family life. Letterman announced their marriage during a taping of the Late Show on March 23, 2009, saying they had married four days earlier at the Teton County Courthouse in Choteau, Montana. CBS News/AP reported the announcement.

What is known about their relationship?

They dated for years before marrying

At the time of his announcement, Letterman said he and Lasko began dating in February 1986. He joked that he had suggested seeing how things were going in about 10 years. Their son, Harry, was born in November 2003, more than five years before the wedding. CBS News/AP reported the birth; Letterman said on his show that the boy was named Harry Joseph Letterman, after his father.

Letterman later apologized publicly

In 2009, after disclosing infidelity, Letterman apologized publicly to Lasko. Biography.com reports that the couple reconciled and quotes his on-air apology: “She has been horribly hurt by my behavior, and when something happens like that, if you hurt a person and it’s your responsibility, you try to fix it.” This is historical reporting about that period, not confirmation of their current marital status. Biography.com’s account is the source for the apology and reconciliation.
