Angelina Jolie says she expects to spend more time outside the United States and wants to live without a fixed personal base for a while. That points to a more mobile, international life—not a confirmed permanent move to a named country. She has not announced a departure date or identified a new permanent home.
Is Angelina Jolie leaving Los Angeles?
Her September 2026 interview remarks support the idea that Los Angeles will no longer be her stable base. Sky TG24 reported that Jolie told L’Officiel she did not plan to have a base, wanted to be nomadic for a while and expected to spend more time outside the United States. ANSA also summarized her comments about wanting a family home while living more nomadically. These are reported translations or renderings of the interview, not a verified English transcript. Sky TG24’s account and ANSA’s summary describe the same broad intention.

That is different from saying she has permanently emigrated. Her remarks describe a period of greater mobility and more time abroad; they do not establish a permanent foreign residence, a specific destination or when she will leave.
Did Angelina Jolie sell her Los Angeles home?
TMZ reported on September 24, 2026, that Jolie’s Los Feliz estate sold for $24.75 million. The sale followed an earlier listing: El País reported on May 6, 2026, that the property had been put on the market for $29.85 million. The figures refer to different stages of the property’s sale, not two conflicting sale prices. TMZ’s sale report also cited an unnamed source close to Jolie who said she was unsure where her next home base would be; that detail is source-based, not a public statement from Jolie. El País reported the May listing.
Where might Angelina Jolie move?
Cambodia is an important connection, not a confirmed sole destination
Coverage of the interview connects Jolie’s international plans with Cambodia, where she has a home and ties to the Maddox Foundation. Reports also describe travel linked to artistic and humanitarian work. Those connections make Cambodia relevant to her plans, but do not establish that she intends to make it her only or permanent residence.
Vienna is a possibility for Atelier Jolie
Sky TG24 reported that Jolie is considering a new Atelier Jolie location in Vienna. A possible studio location is not evidence that she has decided to move there, and no opening has been confirmed in the cited coverage.

The timing has been discussed publicly alongside her children reaching adulthood. Jolie’s twins, Knox and Vivienne, turned 18 on July 12, 2026, and later reports describe all six children as adults. Earlier reports based on unnamed sources anticipated a move after the youngest children became adults; those accounts are different from Jolie’s own later interview remarks. El País covered the earlier timeline.
There is also a legal-history caveat. Jolie and Brad Pitt reached a divorce agreement in December 2024, according to El País, which reported confirmation from Jolie’s attorney but said the terms were not disclosed. The cited report does not establish a specific court-imposed restriction on where Jolie could live. El País’s account of the agreement does not provide its terms.
