Content rights and YouTube rules
YouTube Help states: “All content in live streams must adhere to our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.” YouTube also reserves the right to restrict a creator’s ability to livestream. Make sure you have the rights to every video, music track and other element you rebroadcast, and review YouTube’s current rules before scheduling a continuous stream.

Monetization and API-created broadcasts
Being technically live does not make a stream automatically monetized or eligible for monetization. Gyre’s September 2026 update says monetization for streams created through the YouTube API depends on a YouTube Studio setting; without that setting, an externally created stream starts with monetization disabled. Check the relevant Studio setting and current platform guidance. A continuous broadcast does not guarantee views, recommendations or revenue, and whether repeated material qualifies for monetization depends on YouTube’s current policies and your channel’s circumstances.
Large or multi-stream setups
Gyre’s September 2026 update reports limits of 10 active streams per channel and three per stream key, alongside plan capacities of one, four or eight concurrent streams. These are dated vendor-documented implementation details, not a substitute for checking current YouTube limits. Verify the present limits and your plan capacity before deploying multiple simultaneous broadcasts.

- Prerecorded channel: confirm the plan includes the playlist and scheduler functions you need, and that its storage and stream capacity cover your video library and channel count.
