Announced on 29 September 2020, it pairs seven characters with distinct designs and reference numbers; Seiko said each character edition would be limited to 6,500 watches. The release was planned for December 2020, so that announcement does not establish present-day stock or prices.
Seven characters, seven Seiko references
Each watch uses visual details Seiko associates with its character. These are the manufacturer’s design explanations, not separate technical functions.

What the watches share
Seiko’s announcement specifies an automatic Caliber 4R36 movement with optional manual winding, 24 jewels, a 41-hour power reserve, hacking seconds and a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour. Regional model specification pages also describe stop-seconds and day/date functions. The shared announcement lists a 42.5 mm case diameter, 13.4 mm thickness, Hardlex crystal, nylon strap, see-through screw case back, 10 bar water resistance and 4,800 A/m magnetic resistance. Some details are listed on regional pages for particular references rather than established as universal collection specifications. For example, the reviewed SRPF75 page lists 46.0 mm lug-to-lug, 22 mm between the lugs, Hardlex, LumiBrite and a weight of 93 g; 22 mm lug distance is also listed for SRPF73 and SRPF70. Check the exact reference and regional listing before treating a model-level detail as common to all seven.

Edition limits, case backs and boxes
Seiko announced a production limit of 6,500 watches for each character edition. That is the announced edition quantity, not a figure for units sold, remaining stock or current scarcity in any market.
Seiko’s Naruto and Boruto pages describe case backs bearing a clan emblem and serial numbers running from 0001/6500 to 6500/6500. Those models were also supplied with a special box inspired by the Earth and Heaven Scrolls from the Chunin Exams. Naruto model page; Boruto model page.

What the 2020 announcement says about buying one today
Seiko planned availability through its boutiques and selected retail partners in December 2020. That is historical release information, not confirmation that those sellers have stock now. The official pages cited here do not establish current availability, resale prices, sales totals or the authenticity of any present-day listing.
If considering a listing, check the reference against the character, and ask the seller to document the exact model, condition and provenance. A listing’s use of a Naruto or Boruto name, a serial number, or a special box by itself does not verify authenticity. For replacement straps, check the exact reference and attachment: Seiko lists 22 mm between the lugs for some models, but that does not establish universal fit across the collection.
