The recording identified as An Interview with Huntz Hall (1965) is linked from a Classic Television Showbiz archive post. The post, published July 24, 2013, includes a Listen link to the audio. The 1965 date belongs to the recording as labeled by the archive; 2013 is the date of the later post.
Where to find the interview
Open the Classic Television Showbiz post titled “An Interview with Huntz Hall (1965)” and use its “Listen” link. The archive identifies the item as a 1965 interview, but the post date is July 24, 2013. The page establishes where the audio is linked; it does not, by itself, establish the interviewer, the exact recording date, the length, or what Hall says. No verified transcript or quotations are available here, so the audio’s contents should not be inferred from the title.
Who Huntz Hall was
Huntz Hall, born Henry Richard Hall, was part of the group of young performers associated with the Dead End Kids. According to the Hollywood Walk of Fame history of the Dead End Kids, Hall performed in Sidney Kingsley’s Broadway play Dead End, which opened October 28, 1935, and ran for 684 performances. Producer Samuel Goldwyn brought a group of the performers to Hollywood for the 1937 film adaptation.
The group’s screen identity evolved over time: alongside the Dead End Kids, they appeared as the East Side Kids, Little Tough Guys, and Bowery Boys. The Walk of Fame account describes their run through 1958. That background explains why an interview with Hall is of interest to classic-film viewers: it connects a performer to several successive versions of a durable screen ensemble.

Hall’s film career in context
A 1997 edition of the International Television & Video Almanac lists Hall’s credits, including Dead End, Angels with Dirty Faces, and multiple Bowery Boys films. This period reference work is useful for orienting viewers to his filmography, but it is not a guide to where those titles can be watched today.
A later family-perspective interview is a separate item: a 2023 Rarified Heir Podcast episode featured Hall’s son Gary Hall discussing his father and the Bowery Boys and Dead End Kids. It should not be confused with the archive’s item labeled as a 1965 Huntz Hall interview.
