What’s inside the ultimate Star Wars house? In a 2023 GeekWire feature, collectors Lisa Stevens and Vic Wertz showed a North Bend, Washington, home designed around their collection, plus a separate two-story warehouse filled with toys, props, games and memorabilia. The tour ranged from a Death Star-themed theater and arcade to a full-scale Mos Eisley Cantina recreation.
How the Star Wars collection began
Stevens and Wertz began collecting together around 1995, after Stevens gave Wertz a Boba Fett action figure. They bought other figures that were available, sought autographs at a convention and searched antique and thrift shops for more. Stevens recalled, “When Star Wars came out, it just blew me away,” as reported by GeekWire.
The couple were also veterans of the tabletop game industry. GeekWire reported that Stevens was Wizards of the Coast’s first full-time employee and that the pair later founded Paizo.
A house designed around the collection
When Stevens and Wertz built their North Bend home in 2002, they planned it with the collection in mind. GeekWire’s 2023 tour described the house as having X-Wing and Y-Wing sides, with collection displays integrated into a space that also served as a home.

A Death Star theater and Star Wars arcade
The Death Star Theater featured THX audio and video, at least a dozen seats, ceiling “starlights,” a kitchenette and a Han Solo-in-carbonite replica. GeekWire reported that Lucasfilm executive creative director Doug Chiang designed the theater. Other tour highlights included life-size characters near the entry, a hallway lined with posters and an arcade with Star Wars games.
The main display room
The collection extended well beyond action figures. In the home, GeekWire described toys, movie props, artwork and prototypes. Across the house and warehouse, the feature reported thousands of pieces, including LEGO sets, posters, blueprints, lightsabers and arcade games. It did not give an itemized count, and the article presented objects the collectors showed and discussed rather than independently authenticating every item.

The separate warehouse and its Mos Eisley Cantina
As the collection outgrew the house, the couple completed a separate warehouse in 2019. GeekWire described it in 2023 as a 10,000-square-foot, two-story building near the home. Upstairs was a full-scale Mos Eisley Cantina recreation; downstairs, rows of shelves held merchandise, including newer items and LEGO sets. Wertz said he assembled the LEGO sets himself during the pandemic.
That size and description reflect GeekWire’s reporting at the time of its visit, not a current inventory or audit.

Collecting as an ongoing project
For Stevens and Wertz, the work involved more than acquiring objects. GeekWire reported that they were photographing and cataloging items, assembling cases, rearranging displays and preparing pieces for display. At the time of the 2023 feature, the couple said these collection-related tasks took about three hours a day. Wertz put the routine simply: “I am engaged with collectibles every day.”
Their approach also left room for future additions. Speaking about space for figures that did not yet exist, Wertz said, “They haven’t made that stuff yet.”

What the collection’s reported auction figure does—and doesn’t—mean
GeekWire reported that an online bidder paid more than $200,000 for a rocket-launching Boba Fett figure in 2022. That figure refers to one reported auction, not an appraisal of Stevens and Wertz’s collection or a current estimate of the value of similar figures. Stevens would not put a value on the collection as a whole, according to the feature.

GeekWire’s feature, published May 4, 2023, documents what its reporter saw and what Stevens and Wertz described at that time. It does not establish the collection’s present-day contents, overall value, complete inventory or public access arrangements. The house and warehouse tour is best understood as a reported snapshot of how two fans built their lives—and their living and storage spaces—around Star Wars collecting.
