How fast is Freedom, and what powers it?

What was the yacht designed to do?
Spadolini described a brief focused on private cruising rather than hosting business guests. Cavalli wanted to be closer to the water, steer the yacht himself and have a cabin with broad views of the sea. The stated target was a waterline of no more than 24 metres and a top speed of 40 knots; the engine and water-jet arrangement was chosen around that performance request.
