Pierce and Keely Brosnan’s Malibu home, known as Orchid House, was presented in a 2020 Architectural Digest tour as a Thai-inspired oceanfront estate with open living spaces, carved doors, a saltwater pool and a screening room. The widely repeated $100 million figure was its reported asking price in 2020—not a confirmed sale price or current valuation.
What is Orchid House?
Orchid House is the name associated with Pierce Brosnan and his wife, filmmaker Keely Brosnan, for their estate on Malibu’s Broad Beach. In Architectural Digest’s 2020 video tour, real-estate agent Chris Cortazzo described the property as occupying about one acre, with 117 feet of beach frontage and a main house of approximately 12,500 square feet. Those are figures given during the tour, not independent current measurements. Watch the Architectural Digest tour.
The home’s design was described as Thai-inspired, with architectural work credited to Ross and Ralph Anderson. Its style is not presented as a literal replica of a Thai house: the tour instead emphasizes Thai-inspired elements alongside other influences, materials and a relaxed coastal setting.
How the home looks inside
Entry and open living areas
The tour opens with hand-carved doors inspired by Thailand. Inside, the living and dining spaces share an open plan, with Brazilian teak floors. Cortazzo characterized the room’s look as a meeting of French style and casual Asian influences. Large openings and the connection between indoor rooms and the ocean-facing setting are central to the tour’s impression of the house.

Kitchen and breakfast area
The kitchen shown in the tour combines teak cabinetry with crystal-quartz countertops and opens toward a breakfast area facing the ocean. Cortazzo described the estate as having three kitchens in total; the tour’s headline features focus on the main living spaces rather than providing a separate inventory of all three.
Primary bedroom and bathrooms
The primary bedroom has scissor-truss ceilings, multiple fireplaces and a balcony oriented toward the Pacific. The bathrooms shown include teak and onyx details, extending the home’s use of natural materials beyond the main living areas.

Amenities and leisure spaces
The tour presents the estate as more than a beach house: it includes dedicated spaces for films, music, exercise and guests, alongside a pool and spa. Counts and capacities below are descriptions from the 2020 tour, not independently verified current specifications.
| Feature | What the 2020 tour describes |
|---|---|
| Screening room | Silk-covered walls and seating for 20 |
| Wine room | Capacity of around 200 bottles |
| Pool and pool house | Saltwater pool with a waterfall, plus a pool house |
| Spa | Sauna, steam room and hot- and cold-plunge pools |
| Other spaces | Gym, soundproof music room and a separate guest house |
Cortazzo described the main house as having four bedrooms, in addition to the separate guest house. The tour does not establish the guest house’s bedroom count.

What did the $100 million figure mean?
Architectural Digest and the Los Angeles Times reported in September 2020 that the property was being offered for $100 million. That is a historical asking price, not evidence that the house sold for that amount. Architectural Digest’s 2020 listing report and the Los Angeles Times coverage provide the contemporary listing context.
In September 2026, realestate.com.au reported that the Brosnans planned to leave after wildfire close calls, earthquake concerns and financial pressure. The report quotes Brosnan discussing those concerns, but does not confirm a completed move, a buyer or a sale. It also does not establish a current asking price or present-day value. The artistic context behind the home
Brosnan’s official website connects his creative life to the house, noting that before acting he dreamed of becoming a painter. That context helps explain why a visual tour of Orchid House is about more than luxury features: its materials, views and carefully composed rooms are presented as part of a broader artistic environment. The website’s feature is titled “Inside the Malibu Home and Artistic Universe of Pierce Brosnan”.
