Kyle Sandilands celebrated his 50th birthday on Saturday, 12 June 2021, with a party that began aboard a yacht on Sydney Harbour. Contemporary reports described a gold-themed gathering, and PerthNow reported that singer Samantha Jade performed for Sandilands on the yacht’s back deck.
How the celebration began
Guests boarded a yacht for the Saturday-night celebration, according to 7NEWS. PerthNow placed the party on Sydney Harbour and reported that the gathering later moved to Sandilands’ Sydney mansion.
Samantha Jade’s performance on the back deck
PerthNow reported that Samantha Jade performed for Sandilands on the yacht’s back deck. Sandilands was seated beside his girlfriend at the time, Tegan Kynaston, while Jade sang. The contemporaneous account described the performance as personal; it did not establish a set list or provide a direct quote from the people involved.
Gold dress code and black-and-gold details
The party’s styling put gold at the center of the evening. PerthNow said guests had been asked to include a touch of gold and noted Jackie Henderson’s gold sequin outfit. 7NEWS described black-and-gold balloons and a birthday cake topped with a golden crown.

Guests reported at the party
The reports named overlapping but different selections of attendees, rather than a complete guest list. Both named radio co-host Jackie Henderson and singer Guy Sebastian; 7NEWS also reported that boxer Jeff Fenech attended, while PerthNow named television personality Beau Ryan. Both outlets noted that actor Zac Efron was absent.
What was reported about the yacht’s cost
PerthNow reported a figure of $3,000 per hour for the yacht as a rumor, and 7NEWS repeated the hourly figure. It was not confirmed pricing, so it should not be treated as an established cost of the birthday party.
