Brant Daugherty and Kim Hidalgo married on June 15, 2019, at Ruth Bancroft Garden in Walnut Creek, California. The moment that made the day especially personal, PEOPLE reported, came when they discovered their custom vows were almost the same.
How Daugherty and Hidalgo’s relationship led to the wedding
PEOPLE reported that the couple met through a dating app nearly three years before their wedding. Daugherty proposed in Amsterdam on Valentine’s Day during a Europe trip the previous February.
The ceremony at Ruth Bancroft Garden
The couple married on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Ruth Bancroft Garden in Walnut Creek. About 200 family members and friends attended, according to PEOPLE’s 2019 coverage.
Hidalgo had kept her wedding look from Daugherty until she walked down the aisle. She later identified seeing each other at that moment—and realizing how closely their vows matched—as favorite parts of the day. “Our favorite wedding moments were seeing each other down the aisle and discovering that we wrote almost the same exact vows,” she told PEOPLE.

The couple had written their promises separately. PEOPLE reported that they discovered the vows were nearly identical when they exchanged them, a striking coincidence rather than a planned repetition.
The wedding party and Hidalgo’s dresses
Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale were among Hidalgo’s bridesmaids, and her younger sister served as maid of honor. The couple’s dogs, Luna and Knuckles, walked down the aisle with the flower girls and ring bearers, according to wedding coverage.

Hidalgo wore a beaded mermaid-style Pronovias gown with a long train for the ceremony, then changed into a flowier Pronovias dress for the reception. The reports do not identify a specific dress model.
The reception’s personal touches
The newlyweds’ first dance was to a cover of “La Vie En Rose.” Their cake was strawberry chiffon, made by Pegah Couture Treats, and the reception was designed by Rayna Hess at Eventfully Yours. The night ended with a sparkler send-off.

In separate coverage, Access reported that Hidalgo danced with her father to “Brown Eyed Girl” and that the couple left in a vintage Lincoln belonging to her great-grandfather.
