Angelina Jolie’s Los Feliz home was the historic Cecil B. DeMille estate: a gated, garden-filled property with an 11,000-square-foot main residence, a pool and several smaller structures. Jolie bought it for $24.5 million in 2017. Architectural Digest reported in September 2026 that it sold for $24.75 million, after being listed that May for just under $30 million. The sale price—not the earlier asking price—is the source of the rounded “$25 million” figure.
What does Angelina Jolie’s Los Feliz mansion look like inside?
The main house is a classical-style residence built in 1913, according to the Los Angeles Times. Its reported 11,000 square feet include six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. Inside, the period character comes through in details such as restored molding, wainscoting, arched French doors and four fireplaces. The kitchen, by contrast, was remodeled and includes a center island.
Jolie once described what she valued about the home in a 2021 British Vogue interview: “I love most that there is no entertainment room, but lots of pathways and places to walk and think.” Architectural Digest reproduced the quotation in its 2026 report. It offers a glimpse of the estate as more than a grand interior: its gardens and walking routes were part of how she experienced the property.
What features are on the wider estate?
The grounds extend beyond the main residence. Reporting describes formal gardens, a pool with fountains and a guest house with its own entrance. Architectural Digest’s 2026 account also lists a separate pool house, tea house, hidden treehouse, garage and security station, and describes the estate as perched at the high point of gated Laughlin Park, among trees and rose gardens.

Those are features of the larger property, not rooms in the 11,000-square-foot main house. Coverage varies in which outbuildings it mentions, so the list should be understood as a picture of the estate as a whole rather than a floor plan.
Why is the mansion associated with Cecil B. DeMille?
The property’s Hollywood history predates its best-known modern owner. The main house is described as built in 1913; Cecil B. DeMille acquired the property in 1916. These dates refer to separate events, not conflicting accounts of when the home was built.

DeMille later enlarged the compound by buying a neighboring residence. ELLE Decor, drawing on the 2010 biography Empire of Dreams: The Epic Life of Cecil B. DeMille, notes the estate’s connection to private screenings. The property’s layers of residences and grounds help explain why coverage describes it as an estate rather than simply a historic house.

What makes this more than a celebrity-house listing?
