You can run a Bengali-rhymes YouTube stream from a home PC with an encoder such as streaming software, but a single uninterrupted 24-hour session is not a reliable way to preserve a replay: YouTube says streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. If you need both a continuously live presentation and dependable recordings, plan for shorter sessions and record locally.
Choose what “24/7” needs to mean for your channel
There are three separate outcomes to plan for: keeping a live feed running, saving a replay, and maintaining a library of rhymes that you have the rights to broadcast. A setup can achieve one without achieving the others. YouTube’s archive guidance says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, while streams over 12 hours may not be captured. For replays, use scheduled blocks shorter than 12 hours and keep a local recording rather than relying on one day-long broadcast. The 12-hour figure is an archive warning, not a promise that a stream will stay live for that long.

If preserving the full programme matters, schedule multiple sessions and record each one to the PC. Confirm that local files are growing during a test and can be played back; an enabled recording option is not enough if the resulting file is incomplete or unusable.
Check eligibility and clear the programme before setup
Channel access and age
YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. The person streaming must be at least 16. If a 13–15-year-old appears on a stream without a visibly accompanying adult, YouTube says chat or other live features may be restricted. Check the channel’s eligibility in YouTube Studio before scheduling a broadcast.

Children’s audience setting
Bengali nursery rhymes are likely to be child-directed, but the channel owner must classify the actual stream accurately. In YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room, set the audience for the stream, then check the archived video’s audience setting as needed. YouTube explicitly advises creators not to rely on automated classification to decide whether content is made for kids.
Made-for-kids content has reduced features: live chat, comments, the notification bell, Super Chat and Super Stickers, memberships on that content, and personalized advertising are unavailable. Contextual ads may still appear in some cases. YouTube lists ads, Super Chat/Super Stickers, and memberships as general live monetization routes where eligible, but those general options do not override made-for-kids restrictions, and ad slots are not guaranteed. Do not plan a children’s rhyme stream around chat interaction or predictable revenue.

Rights to every recording and image
Use only audio and visuals you are allowed to broadcast. A rhyme’s traditional lyrics do not automatically make a particular recording, arrangement, performance, translation, illustration, or animation free of restrictions. Check the rights for every asset, including the permitted platforms, territories, and any conditions on livestreaming. YouTube’s terms and rights-management processes still apply to a stream assembled from pre-recorded material; no specific Bengali recording or licence is established here.
Set up the YouTube stream and encoder
- Open YouTube Studio and prepare the event. Go to the Live Control Room, create or schedule the stream, and choose its privacy and audience settings. Allow time to test before the intended start.
- Copy the ingest details into your encoder. Use the stream URL and stream key shown in the Live Control Room. Treat the key like a password: do not show it on screen or share it. If it is exposed, reset it in the Live Control Room and update the encoder.
- Configure a conservative H.264 profile. YouTube’s encoder guidance recommends constant bitrate (CBR) and a two-second keyframe interval. Use RTMP or RTMPS ingestion. For a static illustrated-rhyme programme, start with 720p30 or 1080p30, then test that the PC can encode reliably.
- Set video bitrate to match the chosen output. YouTube’s published recommendations are 3 Mbps for H.264 720p30 and 5 Mbps for H.264 1080p30. These are video-bitrate recommendations, not a guarantee that a particular PC or connection can sustain the stream. Keep any other encoder settings consistent with the selected resolution and frame rate.
- Check the outgoing connection. Measure sustained upload speed on the same home connection the stream will use, not just download speed. YouTube recommends 20% upload headroom and warns that connectivity disruption can break a stream. As a basic calculation, reserve at least 3.6 Mbps of upload capacity for a 3 Mbps video stream, or 6 Mbps for a 5 Mbps video stream; leave additional room for audio, other devices, and fluctuations. A wired PC connection can reduce reliance on Wi-Fi, but test your actual setup.
- Run a test before announcing the schedule. Start the encoder early, check the Live Control Room preview, then confirm the public or unlisted watch page plays on another device, such as a phone. Monitor audio and video, and verify the local archive file’s integrity and growth. If a backup connection or failover is available, test the switch rather than assuming it will work.

The headroom calculations are bitrate multiplied by 1.2; they are not upload-speed guarantees. If household use competes for bandwidth, test under realistic conditions and reduce output quality or other network use if the stream becomes unstable.

Keep the PC, connection, and power dependable
A software encoder on an existing computer is a practical starting point if that specific PC can encode the chosen output continuously. YouTube’s guidance does not set a universal PC specification for a 24/7 rhyme stream. Test the actual machine for an extended period, watch for dropped or stalled output, and check that the recording file continues to grow. A more capable dedicated hardware encoder may reduce reliance on a general-purpose PC for higher-production events, but it is not a universal requirement.
Power loss can stop both the PC and the network equipment. A computer UPS battery backup is an optional reliability accessory, not a YouTube requirement; choose its capacity based on the equipment load and the runtime you want. No particular UPS model or runtime is established here. A second internet path can help only if you have tested that the encoder reconnects or switches successfully.

Troubleshoot the common failure points
