What did Iggy Azalea say about meeting Kanye West?
In accounts of her Kick livestream, Azalea described a meeting that began with a possible professional opportunity. PerthNow reported that she said West discussed looking at her pictures, asked about her then-boyfriend and made comments she found strange and inappropriate. She summed up her reaction in a line quoted by PerthNow: “I just met this guy five minutes ago, and I’m supposed to be in a business meeting. Super weird.” PerthNow’s March 24, 2025 report attributes the account to Azalea’s livestream.

Complex’s March 21, 2025 report gives additional detail from her account: she recalled pornography appearing in a slideshow or mood board alongside photos of her, as well as sexual remarks about her boyfriend. Those details are reported recollections, not independently established facts.
Did West confirm the story?
Yes, according to reports: West responded to the account circulating online with the words “This is true.” Complex reported the response, and PerthNow later said the X post had been deleted. The reported reply is a separate confirmation from West, but the post is no longer available in the account described by PerthNow; it does not independently verify each detail of Azalea’s recollection.

What was the reported DONDA proposal?
A separate Complex report says Azalea also recalled West proposing a high-end adult-video company called DONDA and discussing manufacturing ideas. These are reported statements about a proposal. The reports do not establish that such a company was founded or that the plans were carried out.

The reporting does not settle the date or Azalea’s age at the time. PerthNow describes the meeting as occurring in 2012 and says Azalea was 22. Complex’s account of a longer livestream clip says she described herself as 20; its separate DONDA report also gives her age as 22. Complex further suggests late 2011 based on the arena and music-video context. These accounts conflict, so a precise year and age should be treated as unsettled.
