Cast and creative team
Abhishek Bachchan plays Arjun Sen. The trailer listing also names Ahilya Bamroo, Johnny Lever, Jayant Kriplani, Pearle Dey and Kristin Goddard. Ritesh Shah is credited with screenplay and dialogue, while Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar are named as producers. Shoojit Sircar directed the film.
Sircar said in Amazon’s release announcement that he wanted the film to touch hearts, spark meaningful conversations and encourage audiences to cherish time with loved ones. That stated intention aligns with the story’s focus on a father trying to repair a strained relationship under pressure.

The November 5, 2024 trailer listing announced a November 22 theatrical release; Amazon later said the film first graced theaters in November 2024. Amazon announced an exclusive Prime Video premiere for January 18, 2025, in India and more than 240 countries and territories.
