What does the court record establish about the case?
Sydney Loofe was 24 and lived in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Nebraska Supreme Court opinion says she was reported missing on November 16, 2017, after failing to appear for work. She had met Bailey Boswell through an online dating application and had dates with her on November 14 and 15. The court record states that Aubrey Trail was found guilty on all charges at his 2019 trial and that his convictions and sentences were affirmed on direct appeal. At Boswell’s 2020 trial, the jury also returned guilty verdicts on all charges. She received a life sentence for first-degree murder, along with consecutive terms for her other convictions.
