Is Hulu down right now?
As of October 8, third-party monitors IsDown and StatusGator listed Hulu as working or operational. IsDown said it had received two user reports in the preceding 24 hours; StatusGator also displayed user-submitted complaints that day. These are monitor snapshots, not an official Hulu status announcement, and user reports do not establish how many subscribers were affected or where they were located.
StatusGator’s October 8 page included individual reports about the app not loading, playback failures, and login problems. Those reports describe specific users’ experiences; they do not by themselves show that Hulu remained down for everyone.
What happened during the recent interruption?
StatusGator listed a Live TV buffering and playback interruption detected on October 5, 2026. It estimated the event lasted 1 hour and 9 minutes and marked it “Never acknowledged.” That description and duration are StatusGator’s assessment, not facts confirmed by Hulu. The available information does not establish an official cause or a Hulu-confirmed timeline for the broader outage implied by reports.

Outage monitors do not always agree. UpDownSignal’s October 7 snapshot showed Hulu as operational while also listing a “Major Outage” entry for Live TV from 18:39 to 22:39. That is a separate monitor listing on a different date; it should not be combined with StatusGator’s October 5 event or treated as Hulu confirmation.
What to do if Hulu still will not load or play
If Hulu is still failing on your device, use Hulu’s official Help Center contact page. Its “Fix a problem” path covers streaming issues and provides options to chat or call support. Hulu support can help assess whether the problem involves your account, device, or a service issue; the monitor reports do not point to one universal fix.
