What happened when Terry Mandel fell?
Mandel recounted the accident on Live With Kelly and Mark on June 17, 2024, saying it happened in February while the couple was in Las Vegas. After dinner and drinks, they returned to their hotel room. During the night, Terry got up, struck the wall trim, fell and hit her face. Mandel said she broke her cheek. The Los Angeles Times reported his description of the injury as severe: “You could actually see her skull.” Los Angeles Times, June 18, 2024
Mandel said he woke when he heard the fall and found Terry face down and bleeding. He described trying to move her to the bed and using towels to clean the blood. When he could not find ice, he brought cold soda cans from the minibar; he said Terry threw one away because it hurt. He then called hotel staff and asked them to contact emergency services before taking her to a hospital. These are details from Mandel’s account, not an independently documented medical record. The Los Angeles Times reported that he did not say whether she stayed overnight.
Was Terry Mandel drunk or high?
On June 17, Mandel initially described Terry as “tipsy” after saying they had gone out for dinner and drinks. The following day, on TMZ Live, he clarified that she was not drunk and had taken marijuana gummies. He said he had hesitated to say she was high during the earlier interview, so he had used “tipsy” as a broad description of her impaired state.

“First of all, she wasn’t drunk,” Mandel said on TMZ Live, according to Entertainment Tonight. What did Mandel say about her recovery?
Mandel said Terry was doing well and described her as recovered. Entertainment Tonight reported his statement that she had no scar; the Los Angeles Times also reported his description of her as recovered. Those are Mandel’s statements, rather than details drawn from medical records.
