What the reported income figures show
The clearest before-and-after figures come from reporting based on bankruptcy-court records. The Detroit News reported that Xzibit earned $497,175 from Pimp My Ride in 2007. For 2008, after the show was cancelled, the report gave his total income as $67,510. The Spokesman-Review’s reproduction of the report and The Boombox’s coverage both describe the figures as drawn from court records.

The comparison is striking, but it is not like-for-like: $497,175 is show-specific earnings, while $67,510 is total income for the following year. It demonstrates a steep reported drop in income after the show ended, not a precise percentage decline in the same revenue category.
Why the show’s dates can look different
Paramount Global Content’s catalog identifies Pimp My Ride as an MTV reality series, lists seasons 1–5 and 67 episodes, and gives a 2004–2006 release range. Contemporary financial reporting says the show was cancelled in 2007. The catalog’s release range and the reported cancellation date describe different things; they should not be collapsed into one definitive broadcast timeline.

What the bankruptcy reporting says about his financial strain
A July 2009 bankruptcy filing was reported as listing $739,433 in assets and more than $1.4 million in liabilities. The 2010 reports also said two bankruptcy filings were dismissed, for different reasons. These figures describe a reported snapshot from the filing, not an audited account of Xzibit’s finances over time.
The same reporting described $959,523 in federal tax liens, itemized across four liens from 2008 to 2010. It also said the filing acknowledged IRS debt and a verbal agreement to pay $250 per month. The report mentioned a leased 2006 Range Rover costing $2,230 monthly. These are historical details from the period, not current balances or present-day expenses.
What later financial disclosures add—and what they do not
In April 2026, Complex reported figures from Xzibit’s divorce-court disclosures: around $66,000 in monthly income, more than $1.4 million in personal liabilities, about $2 million in business obligations, and monthly expenses above $23,000. Complex said he attributed much of his recent income to touring and music promotion and did not expect that level of revenue to continue. These are statements reported from a family-law dispute, not independently audited accounts.
In a separate matter, Rolling Stone Canada reported allegations in a January 2026 lawsuit by Krista Joiner concerning a proposed $724,445 sale of Brass Knuckles intellectual property. The allegations are not adjudicated findings, and the proposed transaction does not establish the value of Xzibit’s net worth.
