U.S. viewers can stream all 10 episodes of The Americas on Peacock, along with the 43-minute behind-the-scenes episode The Making of The Americas. NBC also scheduled an encore run beginning June 4, 2026, with episodes airing on Thursday nights through the end of July. That schedule is now historical: as of August 12, 2026, it should not be treated as an indication that a new NBC broadcast is airing currently. The Americas also received a U.S. physical-media release. Universal Pictures Home Entertainment identifies the program as a 10-part documentary event, and contemporary release reporting lists Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD editions with a November 18, 2025 street date.
Look for The Americas 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray if you have a compatible 4K disc player and display. A standard The Americas Blu-ray is the more straightforward choice for viewers without a 4K setup. Availability, price, seller, and edition contents can change, so verify the exact product listing before purchasing.
The physical editions are particularly useful if you want to keep the series independently of a streaming catalog, or if you prefer watching nature documentaries from disc at a consistent listed presentation rather than relying on a subscription service.

What about The Americas: A Wild 250th?
NBCUniversal announced The Americas: A Wild 250th as a one-episode expansion of the series. It aired on NBC on July 2, 2026, with next-day availability on Peacock. Because that date has passed, check Peacock separately for the special rather than assuming it is included in the standard 10-episode season listing.
Has The Americas been renewed for Season 2?
Yes. NBCUniversal announced on June 30, 2026, that NBC had greenlit a second season. Tom Hanks is set to return as narrator, with Universal Television Alternative Studio and BBC Studios Natural History Unit again involved.
No Season 2 premiere date was included in the renewal announcement. It is accurate to say that the series has been renewed; it is not yet accurate to promise a release window or specific streaming date.

| Watch the complete first season now | Peacock | Plan terms and availability can change. |
| Watch through a live NBC package | A qualifying live-TV service or NBC broadcast | Channel and on-demand access vary by market and package. |

Bottom line
For viewers in the United States, start with Peacock: it currently lists all 10 episodes of The Americas and The Making of The Americas. NBC’s February 23, 2025 premiere and June–July 2026 encore broadcasts are useful historical context, but the encore schedule has ended. If you want to own Tom Hanks’s nature series, the November 18, 2025 Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD releases provide physical alternatives. Season 2 is confirmed, but NBCUniversal has not announced its premiere date.
