What were the original broadcast and streaming options?
The original U.S. viewing options were TNT, TBS, truTV, and Max. TNT Sports’ December 16, 2024 announcement listed the 6 p.m. ET start and the simultaneous television and Max distribution.
| Viewing detail | Original 2024 information | What it means now |
|---|---|---|
| Event | The Crypto.com Showdown | The live event is over |
| Date | Tuesday, December 17, 2024 | Historical event; not a current live listing |
| U.S. start time | 6 p.m. Eastern Time | Past broadcast time |
| Television | TNT, TBS, and truTV | No current live telecast is established |
| Streaming | Max through the B/R Sports Add-On | Do not assume the match remains in the Max catalog |
| Extra coverage | Bleacher Report digital and social platforms | Check for highlights or clips rather than assuming a full replay |
A contemporaneous GOLF.com viewing guide independently listed TNT at 6 p.m. ET and Max as the online viewing option. The original Max listing and the live TNT Sports telecast were tied to December 17, 2024; neither source establishes a currently active full-event replay.
Is the 2024 PGA Tour vs. LIV Showdown available as a full replay?
A complete, currently accessible official replay was not verified in the available research. The safest current option is to check official highlights and recap pages from LIV Golf, Bleacher Report, TNT Sports, or other rights-holder-controlled channels at the time of reading.
Do not treat the Max app’s general availability as proof that The Crypto.com Showdown is still available. Sports rights and catalog listings can expire or change by country. A Max subscription, an active B/R Sports Add-On, or access to TNT does not guarantee access to this specific 2024 match.

| Team | Players | Tour affiliation for the event |
|---|---|---|
| Team McIlroy–Scheffler | Rory McIlroy; Scottie Scheffler | PGA TOUR |
| Team DeChambeau–Koepka | Bryson DeChambeau; Brooks Koepka | LIV Golf |
The appearance of four players in a made-for-TV team match did not make The Crypto.com Showdown a PGA TOUR-sanctioned tournament, and the event did not establish that the PGA TOUR and LIV Golf had merged or completed a competitive alliance.
How did the six-hole format work?
The 18 holes were divided into three six-hole segments, with a different team-golf or match-play format used in each segment. TNT Sports’ official announcement described the match as combining elements of traditional international team golf with match play.
| Holes | Format | How the format works |
|---|---|---|
| 1–6 | Four-ball, also called best ball | Both players on each team play their own ball; the team uses its better score on each hole. |
| 7–12 | Foursomes, also called alternate shot | Each team plays one ball, with teammates alternating shots. |
| 13–18 | Singles | The players compete individually in head-to-head matches. |
The format rewarded different skills across the evening. Four-ball allowed a team to benefit from its stronger score on each hole, foursomes required coordination and consistency with one shared ball, and singles placed each player in an individual match.

Where was the match played, and what was the prize?
The match was played at MGM Resorts’ Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event was promoted with a multimillion-dollar prize purse paid in CRO cryptocurrency.
Contemporaneous secondary reporting, including GOLF.com’s viewing coverage, described the purse as $10 million. The official TNT Sports announcement confirms the cryptocurrency prize structure but does not state the $10 million figure in the accessible release, so the dollar amount should be treated as a reported figure rather than as an amount directly confirmed by TNT Sports.
Can you watch Max on a television?
Yes, Max supports several television platforms, but supported hardware does not prove that The Crypto.com Showdown is currently available. Max’s device documentation lists Amazon Fire TV devices, Roku, Apple TV, Android TV, selected smart TVs, game consoles, and computer browsers among supported ways to access Max.
If a television lacks a built-in Max app, a Fire TV Stick 4K is one general-purpose streaming-player option; Amazon’s Fire TV documentation covers the product family, while Max documents support for Amazon Fire TV devices. This is a recommendation for accessing supported Max programming, not a promise of a Showdown replay. A laptop connected to a television with an HDMI cable is another basic option when the computer and television support the required connection.
Disclosure: Product availability and commerce terms can change. Verify current Max device support and the event’s catalog status before buying hardware or subscribing to a service.

What should viewers look for in an official recap?
For the most reliable post-event information, use sources controlled by the event’s distributors or participating tours. Look for the official event name, the McIlroy–Scheffler versus DeChambeau–Koepka pairing, the three six-hole formats, and confirmation that Team McIlroy–Scheffler won.
- Use LIV Golf’s official photos and videos for event-related recap material.
- Check Bleacher Report’s digital and social channels for highlights identified in the original TNT Sports announcement.
- Check Max only if a current event-specific listing is visible in your country; do not infer replay availability from the Max app’s general device support.
- Avoid unofficial “free stream” pages that do not identify a legitimate rights-holder source.
