To check one ended broadcast, open it under Content > Live and view its Analytics for the post-stream New Subscribers figure. These are different reports: the first covers live content across a period; the second is for an individual stream.
Find subscriber gains attributed to live streams
- Open YouTube Studio Analytics. Sign in to YouTube Studio and select Analytics from the left menu. For expanded reports, select Advanced Mode or See More. YouTube’s interface has been gradually updated since July 2026, so labels and their placement may differ between accounts. YouTube Help: Get started with YouTube Analytics.
- Filter channel analytics to live content. Select the Content tab, then choose the Live chip. In the channel-level Subscribers report, check the gains attributed to live streams for the selected period. YouTube’s report separates gains by content type, including videos, Shorts, live streams, posts, and “Others.” YouTube says “Others” includes subscriptions from YouTube Search and the channel page, so it is not a live-stream category. YouTube Help: Understand your YouTube content performance.
- Choose the period you want to assess. Use the date controls in Analytics or Advanced Mode to set a start and end date. The live-content subscriber total for that period is the clearest channel-level answer to how many subscribers YouTube attributes to live content.
Check the subscriber figure for one broadcast
For an individual ended stream, go to YouTube Studio > Content > Live, select the broadcast, and open its Analytics. The documented post-stream snapshot includes New Subscribers. Treat it as the figure for that individual stream, not as a replacement for the channel-level report covering all live content during a chosen date range. Compare subscriber growth over time
Open Advanced Mode or See More to choose date ranges, compare periods or content, apply filters and breakdowns, and export the current view. For a useful comparison, select equivalent-length periods and keep the Live content filter consistent. Advanced Mode can also offer filters such as geography and subscription status, though availability may vary by report. Geography data and some other Analytics data can be limited. When growth changes, compare subscriber gains with discovery and viewing measures such as traffic sources, views, impressions, average view duration, and concurrent viewers. These metrics answer different questions: subscriber gains measure subscriptions attributed to content, while concurrent viewers describe how many people are watching simultaneously. Compare live content with live content rather than relying on a comparison with a different format; audience behavior varies by content type. YouTube Help: Content tab analytics tips – Live.

What to know about analytics during a continuous stream
Keep the real-time Live Control Room dashboard separate from the attributed subscriber reports. During a broadcast, it shows measures such as concurrent viewers, duration, views, chat rate, likes, and average view duration. “Peak concurrent” means the highest number of viewers during a live stream; it is not a subscriber-growth figure. Analytics is based on the video ID, is processed and despammed, and measures different information from Live Control Room. YouTube says Analytics metrics are available within minutes after a stream ends. YouTube Help: See your live stream’s metrics.
YouTube documents subscriber gains by content type and an individual stream’s post-stream subscriber figure, but the documentation does not establish that the channel-level report refreshes continuously during an uninterrupted 24/7 broadcast. Nor does it explain whether Analytics divides one uninterrupted stream’s subscriber gains into daily intervals. Do not treat the Live Control Room viewer graph as real-time subscriber growth or assume that a single 24/7 stream has a documented daily subscriber breakdown. For a dependable comparison, use selected-period channel reports and the individual-stream report after a broadcast ends.

Does the workflow differ for channels in India?
The documented steps are the standard YouTube Studio workflow; the available guidance does not identify a separate India-only subscriber-growth report or procedure. India can be relevant as an audience geography in available filters, but geography data may be limited. YouTube Studio labels and placement can also vary while interface changes roll out.
