Where a Fandango gift card works
Fandango Cards purchased on or after February 1, 2021 can be used for movie-ticket purchases on Fandango.com or through participating Fandango apps. They cannot be redeemed in person at a theater or box office. The terms cover several products with different rules, so check the terms for your specific card if it is branded FandangoNOW, Vudu, MovieTickets.com, or another service. Cards purchased before February 1, 2021 may have different permitted uses. Fandango Gift Card Terms

How to use the card at online checkout
- On Fandango.com or in a participating Fandango app, select a theater and showtime, then choose your tickets.
- Continue to checkout and select the gift-card payment option when prompted.
- Enter the card details requested and apply the card to the order.
- If the order total is higher than the available gift-card balance, pay the remainder with another accepted payment method.
Checkout labels and screens can change, so follow the options shown in the current purchase flow. Do not take the card to the theater counter to pay for the order.
How to check your balance
Use Fandango’s gift-card balance page to check the remaining amount. Fandango describes the displayed balance as an estimate: it usually updates immediately after a purchase, but a delay is possible. If a payment is declined, check the balance and verify the card details; a decline does not by itself establish that the balance is too low.

What the card covers—and what it may not
If the ticket order exceeds the card balance, a second payment method is required. Applicable customary charges, including a ticket convenience fee where applicable, may still be added regardless of how you pay. A gift card therefore may not cover the entire checkout total.

- Fandango says its gift cards do not expire, and that maintenance, dormancy, and service fees do not apply.
- Cards are not reloadable and are not valid unless activated.
- Fandango says lost, stolen, or unauthorized-use cards cannot be replaced. Keep the card number and PIN secure and retain the purchase confirmation if available.
- Cards are valid only if obtained from Fandango or an authorized third-party distributor.
If the card will not work after you have checked the balance and details, contact Fandango or the issuer for help.
