Follow the prompts and wait for the recipient to accept. The option is not available for every event, and an accepted transfer cannot be undone.
How to transfer Live Nation tickets
- Sign in to the Live Nation account that holds the tickets.
- Open My Tickets.
- Select the ticket or tickets you want to send.
- Choose Transfer Tickets and follow the on-screen prompts.
- The recipient receives a notification. Live Nation says the sender receives an email confirmation after the recipient accepts.
These steps follow Live Nation’s public gifting instructions. The exact controls depend on the event and what appears in your account. Live Nation’s Transfer Tickets help index is also available, though its page may require sign-in.
Why the transfer option may be missing
Ticket Transfer is not available for every event. An event organizer or local law may restrict transfers or resale, and an event may have its own rules. Check the event’s ticket details and restrictions. If the transfer option is still unavailable, contact Live Nation support rather than trying an unofficial workaround. The applicable rules are outlined in Live Nation’s Standard Purchase Policy, effective August 12, 2025.

Acceptance makes the transfer final
Once the recipient accepts, you cannot cancel or reverse the transfer. Confirm that you have selected the right recipient before sending. Live Nation distinguishes a transfer from an assignment: an assignment may be revoked by the assignor before admission, but that does not make an accepted transfer reversible.

A later transfer invalidates earlier barcodes
If the recipient transfers the ticket again, only the barcode from the most recent transfer is valid for entry. Earlier barcodes are canceled, so use the latest ticket version rather than an old screenshot or saved barcode.
Some extras may not transfer
A ticket transfer does not guarantee that associated merchandise, VIP package elements, or fan-club memberships will transfer. Check the terms for the specific event or package if those extras matter.

Refunds and event changes
Any available refund or credit for a canceled event goes to the original purchaser, not the recipient. For a postponed, rescheduled, or moved event, the recipient may need to transfer the ticket back to the original purchaser so that purchaser can pursue an available refund or credit. Options depend on the event circumstances and organizer approval; a transfer itself does not guarantee a refund or credit.

These are distinct mechanisms. The assignment rule does not provide a way to undo an accepted transfer.
