In YouTube Studio, create or schedule an encoder stream, copy its server URL and stream key into the encoder, preview the feed in Live Control Room, and start streaming. That workflow can put a recording on a live broadcast; it does not establish that YouTube permits an endlessly repeated loop or that one stream session can run for 24 hours.
What “continuous” means on YouTube Live
YouTube’s encoder instructions explain how to send a feed to a live event, but do not give a specific repeat-playback procedure for prerecorded files. The official pages reviewed also do not expressly decide whether a continuously repeated prerecorded loop is permitted as a format. Check YouTube’s current policies for your planned format rather than treating the absence of a specific rule here as approval or prohibition.
There is a separate limit to keep in mind when planning archives: YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That statement concerns archive behavior; it does not establish that a longer broadcast is permitted, how it behaves, or how to operate a 24-hour session. Check channel eligibility and rights first
Confirm live-stream access
YouTube’s live-stream eligibility guidance requires a verified channel without live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days; the minimum age is 16. Check that live streaming is enabled for the channel before preparing the encoder. YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance

Clear every part of the recording
You are responsible for the rights to all material in the stream: unboxing footage, inserted product clips, background music, and other audio or video. YouTube’s livestream terms state: “You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights for the exploitation of the Live Content on the Google Services throughout the world, including, without limitation, music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers (including public performance licenses) and any other royalty participants.” YouTube Livestream terms and conditions
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match may replace the stream with a placeholder, and continued use may lead to interruption or termination. Even if you have a license, a rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist for the stream not to be interrupted. Prepare the video and choose an encoder
Your encoder must be able to play or ingest the recording and send it as the stream’s outgoing video and audio. YouTube’s setup guide documents the destination and stream-key workflow, not how to make a particular program repeat a file. Confirm that your chosen encoder has a playback or media-input feature suitable for your file and that you can monitor it while it runs.
YouTube says software encoding is an option and that expensive equipment is not necessary to get started. It recommends professional-grade hardware encoders for higher-production events, not as a requirement for a prerecorded unboxing stream. Choose based on equipment you already have, production needs, reliability requirements, and budget; the cited guidance does not establish that hardware is more reliable for this particular use. Set up the stream in YouTube Studio

Open YouTube Studio and create or schedule a live stream using an encoder-compatible setup. Follow the stream setup prompts for the event you intend to broadcast.

Copy the server URL and stream key shown for the stream, then enter both in your encoder’s stream destination settings. YouTube describes the key as the credentials that direct the encoder to the stream. Treat it like a password: do not share it or include it in a public recording or screenshot. Set the encoder’s video and audio input to the prerecorded unboxing file using its media-playback or file-ingest feature. Configure playback behavior in the encoder itself; YouTube’s cited setup page does not specify how to loop a file.

Choose RTMPS if your encoder supports it. RTMPS is YouTube’s encrypted extension of RTMP. HLS is another ingestion option for some capabilities and codecs, but YouTube says it has higher latency than RTMP. Review resolution-specific bitrate guidance and settings supported by your encoder and connection instead of applying one bitrate to every setup. Start the encoder feed and wait for it to appear in YouTube Live Control Room. Preview the picture and listen to the audio there before taking the event live. When the preview is correct, start the live event using the controls shown for your stream in Studio. YouTube’s encoder setup instructions
Monitor the broadcast and plan for interruptions
YouTube recommends continuously monitoring audio and video quality. Check that the file continues playing as intended, the audio remains present and intelligible, and the feed stays connected. A live event can be interrupted by delivery problems or third-party content matches; the cited YouTube guidance does not guarantee uninterrupted operation or provide a complete 24/7 prerecorded-loop recipe. No incoming feed in Live Control Room: check that the encoder is sending to the server URL for the intended stream and that the matching stream key is entered correctly. Confirm that the encoder has actually started transmitting.

Preview appears, but the recording is not playing: check the encoder’s selected media input and its playback controls. YouTube’s stream destination setup does not control file playback or repeat behavior.

Video or audio quality is poor: review the encoder’s resolution and bitrate against YouTube’s current resolution-specific guidance and your connection. Check the audio and video in Live Control Room rather than assuming the local file preview matches the transmitted feed.

Stream is interrupted or replaced by a placeholder: investigate whether the stream contains material matched by YouTube’s third-party content scanning.
