First identify where the repeat is happening: in the YouTube player, in a Castr playlist, or in a Castr pre-recorded stream. YouTube’s repeat-one control repeats the current video; Castr’s playlist Loop restarts the playlist after its last item; and Castr’s stream Scheduling Mode Loop replays the playlist as a broadcast. Each requires a different setting.
Check whether YouTube is repeating one video
If you are watching a playlist in YouTube and the same video plays again, check the player’s Repeat control. YouTube distinguishes repeating the current video from repeating the playlist: selecting Loop again puts a “1” in the control to indicate repeat-one. Turn off that repeat-one state if you want playback to move on rather than restart the same item.
The control location differs by device. Follow YouTube’s instructions for your specific player: YouTube Help: Repeat videos or playlists on YouTube.
Turn off Loop in a Castr playlist
If the playlist itself starts over after its final item, open the Castr playlist’s Playback settings and turn off Loop. Castr defines Loop as returning to the first content after the final content. Its Shuffle option changes the order for viewers; use it only if you want the playlist order varied, not as a substitute for disabling a repeat-one control.

Castr’s playlist guide, dated May 31, 2026, describes the setting this way: “Loop: After playing the final content, the playlist will play the initial content.” See Castr’s playlist guide.
Check Scheduling Mode for a Castr broadcast
If Castr is sending a pre-recorded playlist to YouTube as a live stream, check the stream’s Scheduling Mode in Castr. Loop mode replays the scheduled playlist as a broadcast. Change that mode if you do not want the playlist to play again after it finishes. This is a broadcast setting, separate from the Repeat control a viewer uses in YouTube.

If the video still repeats
The cited YouTube and Castr guidance explains the controls but does not establish why repetition might continue after the relevant setting is disabled. Before assuming there is a bug or another account setting, note which workflow and device you are using and what the Repeat, Loop, or Scheduling Mode control shows. That information is needed to narrow down the issue.
