Try the clues in order, stopping once you have enough help to continue solving.
- Theme: “As easy as pie.”
- Spangram clue: “Bake off.”
- Spangram placement: TechRadar reports that it starts at the bottom edge in the third column and ends at the top edge in the fifth column. This is a reported location, not an independently replayed board.
- Words to earn in-game hints: PEST, CREST, DELUGE, CRANE, RUBY, and GRADE. These are suggested non-theme words; finding three qualifying words earns a hint.
How Strands works
Strands is a themed word-search-style game. Connect adjacent letters in any direction to form words; letters cannot be reused or crossed. Finding theme words highlights them on the board. Non-theme words of four or more letters can build hint progress, and three such words earn a hint that reveals a theme word. The spangram describes the theme, touches opposite sides of the board, and uses letters in the completed grid.
