For a charitable fundraiser, use Twitch’s Charity tool or another service that sends contributions directly to the charity. These are different kinds of payments, so label them clearly.
First decide where the money should go
If viewers are supporting you, call the payment a tip or personal support: it goes through an external tipping service and payment provider, not necessarily through Twitch. If viewers are donating to a charity, choose a fundraiser flow that sends contributions directly to that charity. Twitch says money given to a streamer who later donates it is not considered a charitable donation and is not tax deductible. Twitch’s charitable-donation guidance explains the distinction.
Set up a personal tipping page
1. Choose a tipping service
Streamlabs and StreamElements both document ways to provide viewers with a tipping-page link. They are examples, not a complete provider comparison. Check the service’s current terms for availability in your region, accepted payment methods, fees, chargebacks, and privacy disclosures.
2. Connect a payment method and configure the page
For Streamlabs, open the Tipping area, choose Tip Methods, select a payment processor, and follow its connection steps. The service provides a shareable tipping-page URL. Its settings include options such as display currency, minimum and suggested amounts, a page message, and banner customization; available settings can vary by provider and change over time. See Streamlabs’ tipping setup guide.
3. Put the link on your Twitch channel
In your Twitch channel’s About area, enable panel editing and add a text or image panel with the tipping-page URL. Streamlabs’ instructions cover adding the link to an image panel as well. Check the panel while logged out or in a separate browser session so you can see what viewers will see. The exact Twitch and provider interface labels may change. See Streamlabs’ Twitch panel directions.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
4. Optionally share it through chat
StreamElements documents a Twitch-compatible !tip command that returns a link to your tipping page. Configure the page under Revenue → Tipping Settings, then enable and test the command before promoting it. A chat command supplements a visible channel panel; it does not replace the need to explain what the payment is for. See StreamElements’ tipping-page instructions.
5. Check what viewers will see on payment records
Do not promise anonymity based on a display name or a tipping-page setting. Payment receipts and processor account details can reveal identifying information. Streamlabs recommends a PayPal Business account to help hide a creator’s real name and personal information from viewers, but that is vendor guidance, not a guarantee. Review your processor’s account settings, checkout flow, and receipts before accepting payments. Streamlabs’ guide includes its recommendation.

Set up a charitable fundraiser separately
Twitch describes its Charity tool for Affiliates and Partners. In Creator Dashboard, open Charity, select an eligible charity, and create a fundraiser. Eligibility and charity availability should be confirmed in your current dashboard. Twitch says funds raised, excluding payment-processing fees, are donated according to PayPal Giving Fund policies. See Twitch’s Charity instructions.
If you instead collect money personally and plan to donate some later, tell viewers that the payment goes to you and that donating it is your plan. Do not describe that payment as going directly to the charity or as tax deductible.

Personal tips are not Twitch payouts
A third-party tip page is separate from Twitch monetization and payout eligibility. Twitch’s monetization overview says streamers who are not Affiliates or Partners are not eligible for Twitch payouts under that overview; that does not determine the terms of an outside tipping service. Twitch’s monetization guidance distinguishes monetization setup from qualifying for the program.
For Affiliate payouts, Twitch lists direct deposit/ACH, check, wire transfer, PayPal, and holding payouts, with options varying by region. Its onboarding guide states a minimum balance of $50 for most payout methods and $100 for wire transfers. Those are Twitch Affiliate payout thresholds, not minimums for third-party tips; check the current onboarding page and your locale’s settings. See Twitch’s Affiliate onboarding guide.

Before you publish the link
- Use “tip” or “personal support” when the payment goes to you; reserve “charitable donation” for a direct-to-charity flow.
- Explain any minimum or suggested tip amount and what viewers receive, if anything.
- Check provider fees, regional eligibility, refund and chargeback handling, and privacy terms directly with the provider.
- Test the link and payment-page presentation from a viewer’s perspective before sharing it on stream.
- Do not imply that a payment is tax deductible unless the charity platform and applicable rules establish that for the viewer.
