You can run a continuous Hindi music program to YouTube from Google Cloud by sending an encoder’s audio-and-visual feed to a YouTube Live broadcast. The two cloud approaches in scope are a Compute Engine VM running an encoder and Google Cloud Live Stream API for managed live transcoding. Neither approach grants music rights, and the available documentation does not establish a tested VM size, encoder command, reliability configuration, or price.
How a 24/7 YouTube music stream works
A YouTube live broadcast is the event and video viewers watch; a YouTube stream resource is the incoming audio-video feed sent by your encoder. A broadcast binds to one stream. YouTube’s API documentation describes a 24/7 channel feed and says the same stream can be bound to up to three broadcasts. See YouTube’s guide to broadcasts and streams.
For a music-only program, the encoder still needs to send a visual layer along with audio—for example, an appropriate still or designed visual—through the chosen cloud setup. The sources establish this architecture, not a particular software configuration or command recipe.
Choose a Google Cloud sending approach
Compute Engine encoder VM
A VM gives you control over the encoder and its operating environment. You must choose and configure the machine, software, input and output paths, monitoring, and restart behavior for your workload. The available Google Cloud Live Stream API documentation does not establish a recommended Compute Engine image, machine type, encoder command, or reliability configuration for this use.

#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Google Cloud Live Stream API
Google Cloud’s Live Stream API is a managed live-transcoding option. It may suit a workflow that needs managed transcoding rather than an encoder you operate on a VM. Check current service availability, configuration, and pricing for your region and requirements. Its sessions have a specific operational limit: after 24 hours in an active streaming state other than stopped or stopping, the channel may be restarted. That limit applies to the managed Live Stream API, not necessarily to an encoder running on Compute Engine. See Google Cloud’s Live Stream API quotas and limits.
Decide based on operational needs
| Consideration | Compute Engine encoder VM | Google Cloud Live Stream API |
|---|---|---|
| Operational control | You control the VM and encoder configuration. | Managed live-transcoding service; configure the service for your workflow. |
| Restart planning | Choose and implement restart and reconnect handling; no 24-hour restart requirement is established for this approach here. | Plan for a possible restart after 24 hours in an active streaming state. |
| Cost and sizing | Depends on machine, region, storage, traffic, and encoding assumptions; no fixed estimate is established. | Check current service configuration and pricing; no fixed estimate is established. |
| Regional availability | Check current Compute Engine availability for the intended region. | Check current Live Stream API availability for the intended region. |
Set up the broadcast and cloud feed
- Confirm the channel can go live. Configure live streaming for the YouTube channel you will use. If you manage broadcasts through the API, authorize requests with the Google Account that owns that broadcasting channel. The YouTube Live Streaming API overview explains the API workflow.
- Create the YouTube broadcast and incoming stream. Treat the broadcast as the event or video and the stream as the feed your encoder sends. For an API-managed workflow, create or configure these resources and bind the broadcast to its stream. Keep the stream key private; anyone with access to it may be able to send a feed to your stream.
- Choose the cloud sending approach. Provision and configure a Compute Engine encoder VM, or configure the Live Stream API for managed transcoding. Confirm service availability and current costs for the region and configuration you intend to use.
- Prepare the program input. Supply the Hindi music audio and a visual layer to the encoder or managed workflow. Confirm that the source can run continuously and that the output matches the settings accepted by your chosen encoder and YouTube configuration. No particular encoder settings or command have been verified for this setup.
- Test privately before going public. Use YouTube’s preview and monitor workflow to check that audio and video arrive as expected before starting a public broadcast; the API documentation describes testing with a monitor stream.
- Monitor the full chain. Watch the encoder or managed cloud resource and the YouTube stream state. Design for reconnects and restarts. If using the Live Stream API, include its possible restart after 24 hours of active streaming in your operating plan.
- Verify music rights before sending the feed. Clear each recording and composition for live use in the territories where the stream will be available, as well as any archive or other use you intend. A working stream key and successful cloud setup do not clear music.
Can you play Hindi songs on a YouTube live stream?
Only if you have the rights needed for the specific recordings and compositions, uses, and territories involved. Buying a song, subscribing to a music service, or being able to play a track privately does not by itself establish permission to rebroadcast it live.

YouTube’s livestream terms and conditions say operators represent and warrant that they have all necessary rights for live content across the world, including music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers (including public performance licenses), and other royalty participants. Rights depend on the repertoire and territory; no blanket clearance for Hindi music or any particular catalog is established here.
YouTube also says, “All live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in the form of another live broadcast.” A match may cause a placeholder to replace the stream, and persistent content may lead to interruption or termination. Even licensed third-party content can be interrupted if the channel is not on the owner’s Content ID allowlist. Review YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams and ask the relevant rights owner about allowlisting where applicable.

Plan for reliability and cost without guessing
A 24/7 service needs operational attention as well as a successful first connection. Decide who or what will detect a lost feed, restart the encoder or channel where appropriate, and confirm that the broadcast has resumed. The architecture described here does not establish a particular uptime, machine size, failover design, or monthly bill; those depend on configuration, region, workload, and current cloud pricing.
- For a Compute Engine VM, determine the workload and region before sizing the machine, then account for storage, network traffic, encoding, monitoring, and restart handling.
- For Live Stream API, validate the service configuration and regional availability, check current pricing, and schedule around the documented possible restart after 24 hours in an active state.
- For either approach, test the actual source and YouTube workflow before relying on it for a public continuous broadcast.
Or let it run in the cloud
If managing a cloud VM or encoder is not the part you want to take on, StreamNeo keeps an uploaded video or playlist looping as a YouTube live stream. Upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It is a YouTube-only service for uploaded videos, not a camera feed.
