YouTube does not document a recurring scheduler that publishes a whole playlist by weekday. Instead, schedule each devotional video separately for its chosen date, time, and time zone in YouTube Studio, then organize the videos in weekday or theme playlists. Plan the calendar in IST, and verify the time zone and date shown in Studio before publishing.
Plan a sustainable weekly devotional calendar
Start with a cadence you can maintain, rather than assuming a particular weekday or hour is best for every devotional audience. YouTube’s guidance recommends considering frequency, consistency, content volume, production time, and planning ahead. It does not establish an optimal devotional weekday or prayer time; use your own community’s needs and channel analytics to choose one.
- List each intended weekday, devotional theme, prepared video, and release time in IST.
- Decide how far ahead you can reliably prepare and upload the videos.
- Check the dates and times in YouTube Studio as you schedule. YouTube’s watch-page “Published on” date is based on Pacific Standard Time, so a release scheduled in a time zone ahead of PST may display a different calendar date there than in Studio. If the displayed date matters, verify the planned date in the interface.
The Department of Consumer Affairs draft rules document cited for Indian Standard Time states that IST is UTC+05:30. As that document is a draft, treat the offset here as stated in that source rather than as a claim about final legal status. Department of Consumer Affairs draft rules document.
Schedule each video in YouTube Studio
- Upload a prepared video in YouTube Studio and proceed through the upload details.
- In the scheduling controls, choose the intended publication date, time, and time zone. Select the time zone deliberately rather than relying on an assumed default.
- Confirm the scheduled publication. YouTube says a scheduled video remains private until its scheduled publication time.
- Repeat for every video in the weekly plan. Scheduling applies to an individual video, not an entire playlist.
YouTube’s official instructions for scheduling a video’s publish time explain the date, time, and privacy behavior. The Studio upload workflow also provides scheduling controls; check the current interface because YouTube’s labels and features may change.

Organize scheduled uploads into weekday playlists
Scheduling publication and managing playlists are separate tasks. Add each upload to its intended weekday or theme playlist in its video details, or create and manage playlists separately. YouTube supports creating, editing, sharing, and reordering playlists.
- Create playlists that match the way viewers will browse—for example, by weekday, devotional theme, or a combination that stays clear and manageable.
- For each scheduled upload, select the appropriate playlist in its details.
- Review playlist order and reorder entries when the sequence matters.
- Check the playlist itself after setup to confirm the intended videos appear in the intended order.
See YouTube’s guidance on creating and managing playlists. A playlist organizes videos; it does not make them publish together or automatically recur on a weekly schedule.

Choose a regular release or a Premiere
Both options apply to an individual video, not automatic playlist release. Choose based on whether you want a straightforward publication or a shared viewing event.

Promote the schedule separately
If you want to announce the weekly program, schedule a Community post and include the playlist URL. The post is a promotion; it does not schedule the videos or cause a playlist to publish. YouTube explains how to create and schedule posts.
Limitations and checks before release
- No documented recurring playlist publication: YouTube’s reviewed guidance documents scheduling individual videos, while playlist creation and management are separate. Plan and schedule each release individually.
- Time-zone mismatch: Select the intended time zone in Studio, then check the scheduled date there. The watch-page publication date is based on PST and may differ from the Studio date for releases scheduled ahead of PST.
- Series playlist eligibility: If the videos form a formal sequence intended to be watched together, you can consider an official Series playlist. YouTube says the account must be verified, and a video cannot appear in more than one Series playlist. Check current eligibility and controls in YouTube Studio. - Changing platform controls: Verify the schedule and playlist settings in Studio before relying on them; interface details and feature availability can change.
