Use a playlist to group the videos and arrange their viewing order; YouTube’s documented workflow does not provide a playlist-level control to schedule every Premiere at once.
Schedule a series of Premieres
- Plan the release sequence. Choose a date and time for each video, decide the playlist order, and set a cadence you can maintain. Consider the intended audience’s time zones when choosing release times; YouTube recommends planning around frequency, consistency, and the amount of content you have.
- Create or choose a playlist. In YouTube Studio, create a playlist for the series or select an existing one. Add the videos and arrange them in the order you want viewers to watch them. You can also add a video to a playlist while entering its upload details. YouTube’s playlist instructions cover creating and managing playlists.
- Upload the videos. In YouTube Studio, upload each video and enter its details. YouTube allows up to 15 videos to be uploaded at once, but the upload process still calls for editing each file’s details. Uploading several files together does not schedule them all as Premieres. See YouTube’s upload instructions.
- Schedule the first Premiere. Open that video’s Visibility settings, choose Schedule, set its publication date and time, and check Set as Premiere. Choose a countdown theme and length if you want to customize the countdown, then schedule the video.
- Repeat for every video. Set the date and time and enable Set as Premiere separately for each video in the planned sequence. Check the scheduled times and playlist order before promoting the series. YouTube’s Premiere instructions describe the individual-video workflow.
Can I schedule every Premiere from the playlist at once?
YouTube’s official instructions describe scheduling a Premiere for one video at a time. Playlist management and Premiere scheduling are documented as separate workflows, and the official guidance reviewed does not show a playlist-level bulk-scheduling control. The dependable method is to use the playlist for grouping and order, then schedule each video’s Premiere individually.
This describes YouTube’s documented workflow; it does not establish what every third-party tool may offer. The fact that Studio can accept up to 15 uploads at once is not evidence that it can assign Premiere dates to all of them with one command.
Make the playlist and release schedule clear
Set the viewing order
A playlist helps viewers find the videos together and provides an order for watching them. The playlist order and each video’s Premiere time are separate: changing one does not replace the need to schedule the individual videos.

YouTube also offers a series-playlist designation for videos intended to be watched together. A verified account is required; each video can be in only one series playlist, and the videos must be uploaded by the creator and eligible for inclusion under YouTube’s rights requirements. YouTube says this designation may affect how it presents or discovers videos. Review YouTube’s series-playlist guidance before relying on it.
Allow time to promote each watch page
Each scheduled Premiere has its own public watch page and shareable URL before it begins. YouTube recommends scheduling at least 24 hours ahead so audiences around the world have an opportunity to see the thumbnail in their subscriptions feed. That is a platform recommendation, not a guarantee of views or reminders. Share each page in relevant posts or social channels, and consider pinning the link in a comment where appropriate. Check Premiere eligibility and optional features
- Shorts: YouTube Premieres do not support Shorts.
- Community Guidelines penalties: A strike can prevent a scheduled Premiere from publishing during the penalty period; the video may remain private until it is rescheduled. Check the video’s status if a scheduled release does not go public.
- Trailer: A Premiere trailer is available only to eligible creators with more than 1,000 subscribers and no Community Guidelines strikes. The trailer must be 15 seconds to 3 minutes long, cannot be a previously premiered video, and must meet YouTube’s video and rights requirements.
- Monetization and chat: Eligible channels may have pre-roll ads during a Premiere; mid-roll and post-roll ads are unavailable during the Premiere itself. Super Chat, Super Stickers, and members-only chat may be available to eligible channels. These options are not universal. Consult YouTube’s Premiere guidance for the applicable requirements.
Troubleshoot a scheduled Premiere
- The video is not listed as a Premiere: Open its Visibility settings and confirm Set as Premiere is enabled. A scheduled publication alone does not make a video a Premiere.
- The release order looks wrong: Check the playlist’s manual order and compare it with the individual scheduled dates and times. Playlist position does not schedule a video or change its release time.
- A batch of uploads is not fully configured: Uploading multiple videos together does not remove the per-video details and scheduling steps. Open each video and verify its Visibility settings and Premiere date.
- A scheduled video remains private: Check for a Community Guidelines strike that may prevent publication during the penalty period, then follow YouTube’s instructions to reschedule when eligible.
- A video cannot be set as a Premiere: Confirm it is not a Short and review YouTube’s current eligibility requirements for the video and channel.
