Schedule each video and add it to the right playlist
- Prepare a video file. Upload a recording in YouTube Studio. YouTube does not accept an audio file alone as a video, so turn an audio-only bhajan or aarti into a supported video file first. YouTube’s computer upload guide explains the upload flow.
- Upload and organize. In YouTube Studio, select Create, then Upload videos. Add the video’s title, description, and other details, and choose an existing playlist or create one—for example, “Morning Bhajans” or “Evening Aarti.” Make the title and description accurately reflect the recording.
- Set the release time. In the video’s Visibility settings, choose Schedule. Select the date, time, and time zone, then select Schedule. The video remains private until its scheduled release. See YouTube’s instructions for scheduling a video’s publish time.
- Repeat for each video. Schedule every upload for its intended release time. Add morning selections to the morning playlist and evening selections to the evening playlist; adding a video to a playlist does not set its publication time.
- Review the calendar and playlists. Check the scheduled dates and times in Studio, and review each playlist’s title, description, and entries. Tell viewers what cadence to expect and choose a schedule you can maintain. YouTube recommends a consistent, sustainable schedule and using its scheduling tools, but does not establish one universally best morning or evening hour in its upload schedule tips.
Choose a playlist type that matches your goal
Regular playlists: organize devotional videos
For most channels, two regular playlists are enough to make the viewing options clear: one for morning bhajans and one for evening aarti. A viewer can open a playlist and choose videos, while each video’s schedule controls when it becomes public.
Series playlists: a formal set with extra conditions
YouTube’s official series-playlist setting is intended to mark videos as a set that should be watched together. It is optional and has restrictions: the account must be verified, each video can appear in only one series playlist, and the playlist can include only videos the creator owns and has the rights to use. Review YouTube’s series-playlist requirements before using it.
When a Premiere or live stream makes sense
Use a scheduled upload for ordinary playback
If viewers simply need a bhajan or aarti video to become available at a particular time, schedule its publication. No live broadcast or shared viewing event is necessary.

Use a Premiere for a shared first viewing
A Premiere is an optional way to make a new upload a scheduled viewing event. It creates a public watch page in advance where viewers can set reminders and interact; after the Premiere, the video remains on the channel as a regular upload. Choose this when a shared gathering matters, not merely to publish a video on time. Details are in YouTube’s Premiere guide.
Schedule a live broadcast only when it is actually live
A live devotional broadcast is different from scheduling prerecorded videos. YouTube’s live guidance covers scheduling mobile live streams or reusing stream settings; tell viewers the planned time and communicate changes. Check time zones, rights, and playlist accuracy
Confirm which time zone Studio is using
Set the intended time zone in the Schedule flow and verify the resulting scheduled date and time in Studio. YouTube notes that the publication date shown on the watch page is based on Pacific Standard Time. For a schedule set in a time zone ahead of PST, the date displayed on the watch page can differ from the date shown in Studio. If a particular displayed date matters, account for that difference when choosing the schedule.
Confirm rights for the actual recording
A devotional subject, traditional composition, or scheduled release does not by itself establish permission to use a particular recording. Check the rights for each chosen audio and video recording before uploading; the rights status depends on the specific material and ownership or license, not just whether it is a bhajan or aarti.

Keep playlist metadata truthful
Use titles and descriptions that describe what viewers will find, and check the whole collection for compliance. YouTube’s playlists policy can apply to a playlist as a collection even where individual videos do not independently violate policy.
Troubleshooting scheduling problems
- The video is not public yet: A scheduled video stays private until its release time. Check its Visibility status and scheduled date and time in Studio.
- The watch-page date differs from Studio: YouTube bases the watch-page publication date on PST. Review the selected time zone and allow for the difference if your local time zone is ahead of PST.
- The video appears in a playlist but has not been scheduled: Playlist membership only organizes videos. Open the video’s Visibility settings and set a publication schedule separately.
- You cannot upload an audio-only track: Prepare the audio as a supported video file before uploading; YouTube’s computer upload workflow does not upload audio files alone as videos.
- A series playlist option is unavailable or a video cannot be added: Check whether the account is verified, whether the video is already in another series playlist, and whether you own the video and have rights to use it.
- A playlist or its metadata raises a policy concern: Review its entries, title, and description for accuracy and compliance with YouTube’s playlist rules.
