It does not provide a documented playlist-level timer that automatically rotates playlist contents. For a timed playlist promotion, schedule a Community post containing the playlist link; for videos to go public at different times, schedule those videos individually.
What “playlist rotation times” can mean
The phrase can refer to three separate tasks. Keeping them distinct helps you choose the right YouTube Studio control:
- Publishing videos: Set when each video becomes public by scheduling it in Studio.
- Changing playlist order: Edit the playlist and arrange its videos. This changes organization, not publication timing.
- Promoting a playlist: Schedule a Community post with a link to the playlist. The post is timed; the playlist contents do not rotate.

Schedule videos for different times on separate channels
- Open the right channel in YouTube Studio. Sign in and confirm which channel is active before uploading or editing a video.
- Upload the video and enter its details. In the visibility or publishing controls, choose the scheduling option and open the Schedule card.
- Choose the date, time, and time zone. Set the intended publication time for that channel. Check the time-zone control in the live scheduling screen; YouTube’s instructions require choosing a time zone but do not specify one universal label or provide a specific IST example for every interface version.
- Select Schedule. Repeat the process for each video on each channel, using the intended time for that channel’s calendar. Keep a channel-by-channel schedule so times do not get mixed up.
- To change a scheduled time, open Content in Studio, select the video, edit Visibility, then change the time under Schedule and save the update.
YouTube says the date shown on a video’s watch page is based on Pacific Standard Time. For a scheduled publication in a time zone ahead of PST, that displayed date may differ from the date shown in Studio. Verify the schedule in Studio rather than assuming the watch-page date will match the local calendar date. YouTube’s scheduling instructions describe this behavior.

Use playlist order and promotion for their intended jobs
Reorder videos in a playlist
Use playlist editing in YouTube Studio to manage the list and its video order. Reordering a video does not schedule it to become public at a particular time. For the playlist controls, see Manage playlists in YouTube Studio.
Publish a playlist link at a set time
If the goal is to draw attention to a playlist at a particular time, create a Community post, add the playlist URL, and schedule the post by date, time, and time zone. This schedules the announcement, not a change to playlist contents. YouTube documents both scheduled posts and sharing a playlist URL in Create a post on YouTube.

Mark a set as a series playlist
A series playlist identifies videos as an official set intended to be watched together. YouTube says a verified account is required to enable the feature, and a video can appear in only one series playlist. This designation does not set publication times. Details are in Series playlists.
Plan a sustainable schedule across channels
For each channel, decide on a publishing frequency that fits the content and the time needed to make it. YouTube recommends weighing consistency and upload frequency alongside content volume, production time, and monetary cost relative to viewership and revenue.
