Schedule the YouTube Live event in YouTube Studio, then connect an encoder that can play and repeat the church’s recorded service using that event’s stream URL and stream key. YouTube creates the event and its shareable watch page; the encoder—not YouTube Studio—plays and loops the recording. For an unattended cloud option, StreamNeo can loop uploaded video to YouTube Live without a computer left running.
Before you schedule the Christmas service
Check the channel’s live-stream eligibility before building the event around a fixed date. YouTube says the channel must be verified and must not have live-streaming restrictions within the preceding 90 days. First-time live-stream activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable it well before Christmas rather than on the day. See YouTube’s encoder live-stream setup guidance and live-streaming tips.
- Choose the intended service recording and confirm that it plays from beginning to end, including its opening and closing.
- Decide whether the stream should play once or repeat. If it should loop, the encoder or streaming service must support repeating the file.
- Confirm rights for all material in the recording, including music, backing tracks, video clips, and readings from copyrighted works.
- Pick the event date and time with the intended audience in mind. State the time zone explicitly in the event description and promotional posts; do not assume every viewer is in India or in the same time zone.
Schedule the event in YouTube Studio
- Open YouTube Studio, select Create, then Go Live to enter Live Control Room.
- Open Manage and choose Schedule stream. Create a new event or reuse settings from a previous stream.
- Enter the title and description, then set the planned date and time. State the time zone in the description so viewers know when the event begins.
- Choose the event’s visibility deliberately. Review the date, time, title, description, and visibility before saving.
- Save the scheduled event. YouTube creates an upcoming watch page that you can share; viewers may be able to opt in to reminders. Review YouTube’s live stream settings guidance.
Scheduling makes the event page available, but it does not make the recorded service play. An encoder still has to connect and send the video.
Connect an encoder and set the recording to repeat
YouTube accepts streams from software encoders and standalone hardware encoders. In the scheduled event’s encoder settings, copy the stream URL and stream key into the corresponding streaming fields in the encoder you choose. The labels and controls vary by product, so consult that encoder’s current instructions for loading a media file and enabling repeat or playlist playback. YouTube Studio itself does not loop the source video.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Open the scheduled event in Live Control Room and locate its stream URL and stream key.
- In the encoder, select the option to stream to YouTube or enter a custom server, then paste the URL and key into the appropriate fields.
- Load the church’s recorded service as the media source. Enable repeat or looping in the encoder if continuous playback is intended.
- Save the configuration and run a full test. Confirm the video and audio play correctly, that playback returns to the beginning as expected, and that the encoder remains connected through a loop.
- Keep the stream key private. Anyone who obtains it may be able to send content to the event. Reset the key if it is exposed or compromised.
YouTube identifies AJA HELO Plus PlayToStream as a hardware option for scheduling prerecorded media to YouTube Live without a computer. A dedicated encoder is not mandatory: a software encoder may work with equipment the church already has. Compare options by whether they can play and repeat the file, schedule unattended playback, what equipment must stay on, recovery behavior, setup complexity, and local support. Current prices and independent reliability comparisons are not established here; verify the model, feature support, Indian availability, seller, and support terms before purchase. See YouTube’s encoder guidance for its AJA reference.
Rehearse the stream before Christmas
YouTube recommends setting up the encoder at least two hours ahead and starting it at least 15 minutes before the scheduled event. These are YouTube’s operational recommendations, not a guarantee that every setup will connect on time. Follow its live-streaming tips.

- Monitor picture and sound, including speech, music levels, and any transitions in the recording.
- Check the local archive recording if the encoder or workflow creates one, and make sure its audio and video are usable.
- Have someone available to respond if the encoder stops, the source fails to loop, or the stream preview shows a problem.
Plan the end of the stream and replay
YouTube Help states: “All streams under 12 hours will be automatically archived.” That threshold comes from YouTube’s encoder live-stream guidance. Decide in advance how long the event should run, rather than leaving a stream open indefinitely, and check the resulting replay to ensure it is suitable to share.
YouTube’s live settings also include auto-start and auto-stop controls. Review their behavior for the scheduled event in Manage live stream settings, and test the selected workflow rather than assuming the event page alone will start or end the encoder.

Check copyright and permissions before going live
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If it identifies material, it may replace the stream with a placeholder, interrupt it, or terminate it if the material remains. A church’s permission or licence does not necessarily prevent an automated interruption: the rights holder may also need to add the channel to its Content ID allowlist. Review YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams.
- Confirm that the church has the necessary rights for the complete recording, not just the spoken service.
- Check music, backing tracks, video clips, and readings from copyrighted works separately.
- If the relevant rights holder uses Content ID, ask whether the channel must be allowlisted before the event.
- Do not treat a successful rehearsal as proof that all rights are cleared; address permissions before the public stream.
Choose a setup that fits the church
A software encoder can be a practical choice when the church already has a computer and someone can keep the workflow running. A standalone encoder may suit a church that wants scheduled playback without a computer, but check its current support for the specific file and repeat behavior. Either way, rehearse the exact configuration: the available evidence does not establish looping steps for a particular encoder’s software version.

StreamNeo is a cloud service for looping uploaded video to YouTube Live. Upload the recording or build a playlist, add the YouTube stream key, and go live. The service keeps streaming from the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home or at the church. It plays uploaded video rather than going live from a camera.
