To keep bhajans playing on YouTube around the clock during Navratri, you need more than a scheduled broadcast: you need a continuous stream source that repeats prerecorded videos, plus a channel eligible to livestream and music rights that cover the recordings and compositions. You can assemble an encoder-based setup yourself or use a cloud service that loops uploaded videos. Choose the Navratri dates, audience timezone and playlist only after deciding which regional observance you are serving.
First decide what “schedule” means
A YouTube scheduled live event sets a broadcast to start at a chosen time. It does not, by itself, create a continuous playlist of prerecorded bhajans. YouTube’s broadcast controls and API support scheduled broadcasts; they are distinct from a system that supplies and repeats video files.

YouTube’s API treats an omitted scheduled end time as indefinite, but that setting does not supply or certify a prerecorded playlist workflow. Do not treat an event’s schedule as proof that your videos will loop.
Check channel eligibility before building the stream
- Verify the YouTube channel. YouTube says livestreaming requires a verified channel.
- Check that the channel has had no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. Restrictions during that period affect eligibility. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance.
- Choose a streaming method: YouTube supports mobile, webcam and encoder-based live streaming. For a prerecorded playlist that must run continuously, select a workflow that explicitly supports prerecorded video playback and looping; a mobile or webcam option is not a playlist scheduler.
Prepare a rights-cleared Navratri playlist
Secure the rights to the actual music
You are responsible for having the necessary rights for live use. YouTube’s livestream terms say: “You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights for the exploitation of the Live Content on the Google Services throughout the world, including, without limitation, music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers (including public performance licenses) and any other royalty participants.” Read the YouTube livestream terms; this is platform language, not legal advice.

For a bhajan recording, check rights for both the composition and the particular sound recording where applicable. A devotional subject, an online “free” label, or buying a track does not automatically grant permission to broadcast it as a livestream. Confirm that permissions cover livestreaming, the relevant territories and the planned period. Ask the rights owner whether your channel must be allowlisted.
Test the playlist rather than assuming it is safe
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match can trigger a warning and placeholder image; if the content remains, YouTube may interrupt or terminate the stream. Even music you licensed can cause a match unless the rights owner has allowlisted your channel. If you keep an archive of the live stream, YouTube says Content ID claims may be made after the livestream ends. - Keep a record of licenses and permissions, including the covered tracks, territories, dates and channel identity.
- Test the stream privately or with an appropriate visibility setting before promotion, while remembering that a test does not replace rights clearance.
- Have a replacement playlist ready using only cleared material in case a track is flagged.
Set dates and order for your audience
Navratri observance and local schedules vary. Set the year, region, timezone, start time, language mix and playlist order for the audience you intend to serve; no single day-by-day order or 2026 date range follows from the available official examples. The Indian government recorded Doordarshan and All India Radio Navratri broadcasts, including YouTube distribution, in a 2021 notice, but that is a historical programming example rather than a current calendar or template: Government of India notice.
Run it yourself with an encoder
This route suits an operator who can provide a continuous video input from an encoder or computer. YouTube supports encoder streaming and recommends professional-grade hardware encoders for higher-production events; dedicated hardware is optional, not a requirement for a prerecorded bhajan stream.

- Build the video source. Arrange the rights-cleared videos in the desired order and configure your playback system to repeat them. Confirm that the output includes stable video and audio for the entire intended run.
- Create or schedule the YouTube live event. In YouTube Studio, open Create > Go live, then use the Live Control Room to create or select the event and set its title, visibility, start time and other event details. Exact labels can vary as YouTube updates Studio.
- Connect the encoder. In the event’s stream settings, copy the stream key into your encoder’s YouTube destination settings. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it or send it to viewers. If it is exposed, replace or reset it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.
- Configure and test the output. Use an output format, resolution and bitrate supported by both the encoder and YouTube’s current recommendations. Check the picture, audio levels, continuity and stream preview in Live Control Room before the public start. Requirements vary by resolution and codec; consult YouTube’s encoder settings guidance rather than assuming one bitrate fits every setup.
- Start the encoder early and verify the event. Confirm the preview appears, the event has the intended visibility and start time, and the audio is audible. Monitor the opening and check periodically for playback failure, copyright warnings or a disconnected input.
- Keep the source and connection running. A local computer-based encoder depends on its playback system, power and internet connection staying available. Plan who will respond if the source stops or YouTube disconnects it.
For multi-day operation, do not assume that one scheduled event setting, an indefinite end time, or a particular encoder will guarantee uninterrupted looping. Test the whole workflow and verify any limits of the playback software or service you choose.
Use a service for a continuous prerecorded feed
OneStream Live documents a workflow for selecting uploaded or cloud-stored videos, connecting YouTube, entering stream details, choosing a start time and duration, then scheduling the continuous stream. Its help page states that this feature requires Enterprise and has a maximum duration of 30 days; these are vendor-specific terms, not YouTube-wide limits, and should be rechecked before relying on them: OneStream Live’s 24/7 scheduling instructions.

If you use any third-party service, confirm its current plan eligibility, maximum run duration, file and storage limits, restart behavior, and how it handles a YouTube disconnect. Verify that the workflow actually loops your selected videos rather than merely starting one scheduled broadcast.

Checklist before announcing the stream
- The channel is verified and eligible to livestream.
- The method chosen provides a continuous prerecorded feed, not only a scheduled start.
- Every track is cleared for the intended livestream use, and any required channel allowlisting is confirmed.
- The playlist, regional observance, timezone, start time and visibility have been checked.
- A full workflow test confirms audible playback, stable video, looping and a recovery plan.
- The operator knows how to respond to a copyright alert, encoder failure or dropped connection.
