You can run a 24/7 Kannada instrumental music stream on YouTube with an encoder that continuously sends audio and video to your channel. Before going live, clear the rights for every recording and visual, enable livestreaming, test the feed, and plan how you will monitor and recover it. Instrumental music is not automatically free to rebroadcast, and YouTube may interrupt a live stream when its systems detect third-party content.
1. Clear the music and visual rights first
Use recordings you created or have permission to livestream on YouTube. A track being instrumental, old, or freely available online does not establish that you may rebroadcast it. Keep written records showing what uses are permitted.
For licensed tracks, confirm that permission covers the planned livestream, relevant territories, any archived playback, and monetization if you intend to monetize. Ask the label, distributor, or other applicable rights holder whether the channel needs to be added to its Content ID allowlist. A license alone may not prevent an automated interruption if the channel has not been allowlisted.
YouTube for Artists puts the practical advice plainly: “If you’re planning on using copyright-protected music during your live stream, we recommend coordinating with your label or distributor to avoid any issues, such as copyright strikes.” YouTube for Artists: Going Live for Music Channels.

Clear the picture as well as the sound. A static image or custom visual can accompany the music, but use artwork you own or have permission to display.
2. Prepare and enable the YouTube channel
- Check eligibility: YouTube says the channel must be verified and must not have a livestream restriction in the preceding 90 days. Review YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility and setup guidance.
- Enable livestreaming early: YouTube for Artists recommends enabling a first stream at least 24 hours before the planned launch. Allow time for setup rather than scheduling a first test at the moment you want to go public.
- Choose a format: Decide whether the stream should be horizontal, vertical, or—if your encoder and setup support it—dual-streamed. YouTube describes format and feature differences in its live-streaming feature comparison. Vertical streams may appear in the Shorts feed, but format does not affect music rights.
- Prepare the stream in YouTube Studio: Create or schedule the live stream and use its stream key in your encoder. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it or share it with people who should not be able to broadcast to your channel.

3. Assemble a continuous audio-and-video feed
YouTube supports encoder-based livestreaming, including production setups with overlays. The encoder takes your prepared audio and visual and sends a continuous feed to YouTube. Google’s Live Streaming API documentation also describes a 24/7 feed as a broadcast scenario; it explains how a continuous stream can be associated with broadcasts, but does not recommend a particular encoder, computer, host, bitrate, or reliability design. Build a playlist from cleared Kannada instrumental recordings and configure the chosen encoder to play it continuously. Use an audio source and a suitable visual; for example, a licensed still image or a custom loop. Keep the encoder, device, internet connection, and power available for as long as you intend to broadcast. Check the selected encoder’s current system requirements: YouTube’s cited guidance does not establish a universal minimum computer specification or a standard bitrate for this use.

There is no official guarantee of uninterrupted 24/7 operation in the guidance cited here. Plan to monitor the feed and to restore it if the encoder, network, power, or YouTube connection fails. A restart can restore delivery, but it cannot resolve an underlying rights or Content ID problem.
4. Test privately, then launch and monitor
- Start an unlisted test: Confirm the encoder connects to the correct YouTube stream and that the selected stream key is current.
- Check the actual output: Listen for audio, check that the visual displays as intended, and confirm the feed reaches YouTube. Test the planned format on the screens your audience is likely to use.
- Confirm rights arrangements: Make sure permissions cover the intended use and that any required Content ID allowlisting has been coordinated with the rights holder.
- Go public: Start the planned stream and watch YouTube Studio for warnings, interruptions, or strikes. Keep a recovery plan for restoring the feed, but do not repeatedly restart it as a workaround for an unresolved match.
- Review the archive if you keep it: YouTube says Content ID claims may be made on archived live streams after the broadcast finishes. Check the completed archive and any claims before relying on it as an available replay.
YouTube explains that live streams are scanned for third-party material and that a match can lead to a placeholder image, temporary interruption, or termination if the material continues. See Copyright issues with live streams.

5. Choose the presentation and music source deliberately
Horizontal or vertical
Horizontal presentation may suit viewers watching on televisions or desktop screens; vertical presentation is designed for phone screens and may surface in the Shorts feed. YouTube’s feature comparison shows that available features differ by format, and its current guidance describes dual streaming through RTMP(S) with a third-party encoder. Check the format guidance before building the encoder layout, and do not assume every feature works identically across formats.
Original or commissioned recordings versus licensed tracks
Original or commissioned music can give you more direct control over permissions, but you still need to verify who owns the recording and composition and what rights were granted. Third-party licensed tracks may provide access to a broader catalog, with added administrative work: confirm live use, territory, archive, monetization, and Content ID handling for each applicable license.

What audience statistics do—and do not—tell you
YouTube for Artists reported that over 30% of daily logged-in YouTube viewers watched live content in Q2 2025. That is platform-wide context, not a forecast for Kannada instrumental music or for any individual channel. See YouTube for Artists: Going Live for Music Channels.
6. Troubleshoot common problems
