To replace a video in a LiveReacting broadcast without restarting, open the active project, edit its video playlist, then click Sync with Live. LiveReacting says the running stream takes the change without stopping. If AutoSync is enabled, edits are sent to the live feed as you make them. LiveReacting’s playlist guidance describes this workflow.
Replace the video in the live broadcast
- Open the active project. In LiveReacting Studio, select the project that is currently live.
- Add the replacement video. In the video playlist, use its add control to bring in the incoming file. LiveReacting’s video playlist instructions say files can be added whether or not the video is live.
- Remove the old entry and arrange the order. Delete the item you are replacing and reorder the remaining entries as needed. The playlist manager supports adding, removing, and reordering files.
- Apply the edit to the broadcast. With manual synchronization, make the changes first and then click Sync with Live. If AutoSync is enabled, edits are sent to the live feed immediately.
- Leave the stream running. LiveReacting says playlist changes can be applied without stopping the broadcast.
The documentation does not specify what happens if you replace the item that is playing at that moment: it does not promise that the current video finishes, that the change cuts over immediately, or that playback resumes at a particular point. Avoid relying on a specific transition or timing.
Choose when your edits go live
| Option | When the broadcast receives edits | Useful when |
|---|---|---|
| Manual synchronization | After you click Sync with Live | You want to make and review several playlist changes before sending them to the live feed. |
| AutoSync | As edits are made | You want changes propagated immediately and do not need to batch edits first. |
LiveReacting’s Help Center describes manual sync as making adjustments first and sending them to the live feed after clicking Sync with Live; its product page corroborates that the running stream takes the change without stopping. The Help Center article is older, so if the labels differ in your current interface, follow the controls shown there.
Do not confuse the broadcast playlist with a YouTube playlist
This procedure changes the LiveReacting video playlist that supplies content to the broadcast. LiveReacting also has a YouTube setting for selecting a playlist to organize the livestream replay. Its YouTube Live settings instructions say the replay is added after the stream ends. Changing that YouTube organization setting does not replace the video playing in the running LiveReacting broadcast.

If you want the stream to run from the cloud instead
For an always-on YouTube stream made from uploaded videos, StreamNeo is a separate cloud option: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops uploaded videos in the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home. Each slot streams the upload as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; it also includes automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo plays uploaded video to YouTube; it does not go live from a camera. Start the free first day.
