If Larix Broadcaster stops publishing when your Android phone loses Wi-Fi, reconnect the phone, then in Larix open Settings > Connections > Advanced settings and enable “Don’t check network presence.” Return to the preview and resume or start the stream. This setting permits a connection attempt when Larix does not detect network presence; it does not restore Wi-Fi or guarantee that the stream will reconnect automatically.
Reconnect Larix after Wi-Fi returns
- Reconnect the phone to Wi-Fi. Check that the connection is usable, not merely that the phone shows it as connected.
- Open Larix Broadcaster’s advanced connection settings. Go to Settings > Connections > Advanced settings.
- Enable “Don’t check network presence.” Softvelum says this allows Larix to attempt a connection when starting or resuming even if the app has not detected network presence. With the default setting, Larix does not start when no network is available and does not retry when the network occasionally goes offline. Softvelum’s Larix FAQ
- Return to the preview and resume or start the stream. Do this after network access is back; the setting permits the attempt but does not itself re-establish an interrupted session.
If Larix still will not publish
Confirm that the phone has working internet access
Open a webpage or otherwise check connectivity on the phone. If Wi-Fi is connected but the internet is unavailable, Larix cannot reach the destination. Restore usable network access, then try resuming or starting again.
Check the selected connection and destination
Make sure Larix is using the intended saved connection. If the destination’s server address, application address, stream name, or key has changed, update the connection using the destination’s current values. For RTMP, the URL combines the server/application address with the stream name or key; consult the service’s current connection instructions and Larix’s documentation reference. Keep stream keys private and do not post them publicly.
Larix on Android also supports SRT publishing, including Push (Caller), Listen, and Rendezvous modes, as well as RTMP and other features. The appropriate destination checks therefore depend on the protocol and receiving service; do not assume every saved connection is RTMP. Softvelum’s Android app page

Do not look for the iOS-only network retry control
Softvelum’s FAQ labels “Reconnect timeout w/o network” as an iOS-specific option. It is not the Android setting to use. Larix’s Android Advanced connections settings also list a general Reconnect timeout, described as the time Larix waits before trying to connect again, but the documented Android recovery instruction for a missing network is to enable “Don’t check network presence” and then resume or start the stream.
