For a single prerecorded gaming video, add it to an OBS Media Source and turn on Loop. For a sequence of different videos, use OBS’s VLC Video source, add the clips in order, and enable Loop Playlist. Keep OBS sending one continuous feed to YouTube Live; do not stop and restart the encoder between clips. Test the complete sequence first: looping repeats playback, but OBS does not promise frame-perfect, gap-free handoffs between separate files.
Choose the playback method for your rerun

Set up the YouTube Live connection

In YouTube Studio, open the Live Control Room and create or select the live stream you will use for the rerun.

Copy the stream URL and stream key from the stream’s encoder settings into OBS under Settings > Stream. The URL and key connect OBS’s outgoing feed to the YouTube live stream; they do not create or manage the video playlist.

Keep the stream key private. Treat it as a credential for the feed YouTube accepts, and do not show it in a recording or public screenshot.

Configure OBS for one video or a playlist
Repeat one gaming video

In OBS, add a Media Source to the scene that will appear on stream.

Select the local video file and enable Loop in the source properties. OBS documents local video playback and the per-file Loop control in its Media Sources guide.

Check the scene’s audio and picture, then watch the end roll into the beginning. If the file itself ends in black or silence, edit or trim that material; looping cannot remove it.

Repeat multiple videos in order

Install VLC if it is not already installed. OBS specifies that 64-bit OBS requires 64-bit VLC for its VLC Video source.

Add a VLC Video source to the scene. Add the gaming videos to its playlist in the order you want them to play.

Enable Loop Playlist in the source properties. Confirm that the final clip returns to the first clip and that each file has both picture and sound.

Keep one continuous broadcast running
Start OBS and inspect its feed in YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room before making the event live. YouTube recommends preparing the encoder in advance, checking the preview, monitoring audio and video, and validating archive growth; see its live streaming tips.
Once the rerun is underway, leave the OBS encoder session running as clips change. YouTube documents that a stream ends when you stop sending content from the encoder or end the stream in the Control Room. Restarting the encoder for every clip would interrupt the ongoing broadcast rather than solve a transition gap.
YouTube’s Auto-start and Auto-stop options relate to starting or ending certain encoder workflows. Live Redirect is a separate option for directing viewers to a Premiere after a live stream ends; YouTube says viewers may need to wait about two seconds for the watch page to reload during that handoff. Neither feature sequences clips inside an ongoing rerun. See Manage live stream settings.

Test for gaps before viewers arrive

Run the actual scene and actual files through a complete playlist cycle before scheduling or promoting the rerun.

Watch and listen across every file boundary, including the last clip returning to the first. Look for blank or black frames, audio silence, missing picture, and unexpectedly quiet or loud clips.

If a file contains a black tail or silent ending, trim or edit it. If transitions need to be covered, add a short slate or transition in the playback workflow, then test again.

Monitor the YouTube preview and the encoder’s status while the test runs. YouTube’s streaming tips also discuss stream-quality checks and backup encoders; those are reliability measures, not a substitute for verifying clip boundaries.
There is an important limit to what the documented loop controls establish: OBS explains how to repeat a file or playlist, but does not certify zero blank frames or silence when switching between separate files. A full test is the way to catch issues caused by the files or scene arrangement.
