How to Play Multiple Property Tour Videos in a YouTube Live Stream

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

To play several property tours during one YouTube Live event, arrange the clips in the order you want and send them through encoder software connected to YouTube Live Control Room. A YouTube playlist can organize and reorder videos, but it is not itself the live broadcast feed. The exact steps for sequencing prerecorded clips depend on the encoder you choose.

What a YouTube playlist does—and does not do

A playlist in YouTube Studio helps you collect property-tour videos and set their viewing order. YouTube’s playlist instructions do not describe it as a source that automatically feeds videos into a live broadcast. The live broadcast comes from an encoder, which sends its output to YouTube using the stream URL and stream key from Live Control Room. YouTube’s playlist instructions and encoder setup guide cover these separate functions.

Do not confuse either feature with YouTube’s viewer queue. The queue lets a viewer choose what to watch next on desktop; it is not a broadcast automation tool, and it is not saved when the browser closes unless the viewer saves it to a playlist. YouTube’s queue help describes it as a viewing feature.

Prepare the property tours

  1. Create a playlist: In YouTube Studio, create a playlist for the tours. Add the videos from search, a URL, or your channel library.
  2. Set the order: Drag the videos into the sequence you want viewers to see. Check the order before preparing the encoder output.
  3. Choose how the encoder will play the clips: The playlist provides an organizing reference, but the encoder must produce the actual sequence sent to YouTube. Check the documentation for your chosen encoder to confirm it can play multiple prerecorded files sequentially and handle transitions or a holding slide if needed.

YouTube’s general encoder instructions explain how to connect and start a stream; they do not provide product-specific steps for building a playlist of local or hosted tour files. The clip-loading controls and whether transitions happen automatically therefore depend on your encoder.

  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Connect the encoder and go live

  1. Check channel eligibility: YouTube says a channel must be verified, have no live-stream restrictions in the preceding 90 days, and the streamer must be at least 16. Review YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance before scheduling.
  2. Create or schedule the live stream: In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create or schedule a stream. Copy its stream URL and stream key.
  3. Configure the encoder: Enter the stream URL and key in your encoder’s streaming settings. Set the encoder’s program output to the property-tour sequence you prepared. The exact controls vary by encoder.
  4. Start the encoder output: Begin sending the feed, then wait for the incoming preview to appear in Live Control Room.
  5. Start the YouTube broadcast: Once the preview is ready, select Go live in Live Control Room. When the event is over, end the stream in YouTube.

YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours are automatically archived. See the encoder setup guide for its connection and start sequence.

Check the sequence before viewers arrive

Before the scheduled event, verify the encoder can move from one tour to the next as intended. Confirm the order, transitions, audio continuity, and what appears if a clip ends early or playback fails. These are practical checks, not functions guaranteed by YouTube’s playlist feature. For encoder-specific instructions, use the documentation for the software you selected.
