To keep cicada sounds on a YouTube Live stream around the clock, feed either a live microphone or a rights-cleared recording into an encoder, then send it to YouTube using the server URL and stream key from Live Control Room. First decide whether the sound is truly being captured live or is a prepared recording; describe its actual location and origin rather than implying one loop represents all of India.
Choose live field audio or a prepared recording

The title does not specify a region, recording date or cicada species. Do not label a generic loop as representative of Indian summer nights generally, or describe prepared audio as live. State where and when the sound was recorded if known, and whether the broadcast is live capture or playback.
Clear rights before you go live
You must hold the rights needed to use the sound in a live stream and any archived replay. For third-party audio, check that the license specifically covers both uses and keep a copy of the permission. YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches; a match can cause a placeholder to replace the stream, a warning, interruption or termination. Even a licensed stream may be interrupted if the rights owner has not allowlisted your channel through Content ID. Enable YouTube Live and configure an encoder

Check eligibility: the channel must be verified and must not have a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. First-time live activation can take up to 24 hours. See YouTube’s live-streaming setup guidance.

Open YouTube Studio and go to Create > Go live to open Live Control Room. Create or schedule the stream, then copy its server URL and stream key into your encoder. Treat the key like a password: anyone with it can send content to your channel. YouTube documents encoder setup at Set up your encoder for live streaming.

For the standard RTMP/RTMPS route, YouTube recommends RTMPS. Its published encoder guidance lists H.264, H.265/HEVC and AV1 video; AAC or MP3 audio; constant bitrate encoding; and a two-second keyframe interval, not exceeding four seconds. For stereo audio, the recommendation is a 44.1 kHz sample rate and 128 kbps. These are platform recommendations, not a reason to choose settings your encoder or upload connection cannot sustain. Follow the current guidance at YouTube’s recommended encoder settings.

For a live-capture setup, connect and select the microphone as the encoder’s audio input. A USB microphone is one possible option, not a YouTube requirement. With prepared audio, route the recording or playlist into the encoder instead; a microphone is unnecessary.
Test the sound and connection before making the stream public

Test the actual source, video scene and encoder settings you intend to use. Listen for audible cicadas, clipping, unwanted noise and abrupt seams where a recording loops. This is production advice, not a YouTube encoding requirement.

Check YouTube’s stream health and leave upload capacity above the total outgoing bitrate. YouTube recommends 20% headroom; a wired, reliable connection can help avoid interruptions. See YouTube’s streaming tips.

Confirm the stream appears on its YouTube watch page and check playback on a phone as well as your encoder preview. During a long run, keep monitoring stream status and audio/video quality. If you need a local copy, verify that recording files are being written and growing.

Plan for replays and long-running streams
Do not promise viewers a single complete YouTube replay from a 24-hour broadcast. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived; streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. DVR rewind may also be limited or unavailable for streams longer than 12 hours. These platform limits are described in YouTube’s archive guidance and DVR guidance. If an archive matters, keep a local recording. You could end and restart shorter sessions to make replay capture more practical, but that creates interruptions viewers should be told about in advance.
