You can loop a church bhajan or worship video with YouTube’s playback controls, but that does not create a YouTube Live broadcast. On a computer, right-click the video and choose Loop; on Android, use Settings → Additional settings → Loop video. If you need the channel to show a continuous live broadcast, use a livestream method instead and make sure you have the rights to every recording you stream.
Loop a video or playlist for viewers
YouTube’s Loop controls repeat playback for someone watching a video or playlist. They do not turn that playback into a livestream.
On a computer: repeat one video
- Open the video’s watch page.
- Right-click the video player.
- Select Loop. YouTube repeats that video until the setting is turned off. YouTube’s computer instructions
On a computer: repeat a playlist
- Open a video that belongs to the playlist.
- Expand the playlist panel.
- Select the playlist’s Loop control. The playlist repeats rather than ending after its last item. YouTube’s computer instructions
On Android: repeat one video or a playlist item
- For one video, start playback and tap Settings → Additional settings → Loop video.
- For a playlist, start the playlist and tap its Loop control in the playlist box to repeat the sequence.
- Tap the playlist Loop control again to repeat only the current item; a “1” appears on the icon. YouTube’s Android instructions
On a TV or game console
While the video plays, open playback controls and select Repeat until it indicates whether it will repeat the current video or the playlist. Depending on the device, Repeat may also be available in settings. YouTube’s instructions
Playback loop or actual YouTube Live?
A loop is useful when a viewer wants bhajans or worship music to keep playing on their device. It does not establish a live event, make a channel’s Live page continuously broadcast, or keep a broadcast running. YouTube separately describes livestreaming via mobile, webcam, or an encoder; its Loop guidance covers playback controls, not a way to start or sustain a Live broadcast. If your church needs a real live broadcast, choose one of YouTube’s livestream methods for the event. YouTube says the channel must be verified and must have had no livestreaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. Check your channel’s access before scheduling or relying on a stream. The reviewed guidance does not establish a single method as necessary for every church setup. YouTube Help: Get started with live streaming
Check rights before streaming worship music or video
A church setting or worship purpose does not by itself grant rights to a commercial recording, arrangement, translation, backing track, image, or video. YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility on the content provider to have the necessary rights, including music rights. Check the actual material, licence terms, and territories covered before you broadcast it. YouTube livestream terms

YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content, including another copyrighted live broadcast. A match can lead to a warning and placeholder; if the content continues, YouTube may temporarily interrupt or terminate the stream. If you have licensed material, ask the rights owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist: a licence alone may not prevent an interruption when the channel is not allowlisted. YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams
Possible routes for using other people’s work include permission, applicable copyright exceptions, public-domain works, Creative Commons terms, and YouTube’s Audio Library or Creator Music. YouTube cautions that none of these routes guarantees avoiding a claim or strike. Do not assume a hymn is free to use just because it is old: the recording, arrangement, translation, and other elements can have separate rights. YouTube’s copyright overview

Prepare and check an encoder stream
If you choose an encoder for a church broadcast, test the setup before depending on it. YouTube recommends previewing the stream, checking that viewers can access it from their devices, and monitoring audio and video quality. It also says expensive equipment is not required to get started. YouTube live streaming tips
- Access: Confirm livestream eligibility and channel verification in advance.
- Preview: Test the selected streaming method and inspect the preview before relying on the broadcast.
- Viewer check: Confirm access from the devices your congregation will use.
- Audio and video: Monitor both during the test and stream.
- Rights: Confirm permissions and any required Content ID allowlisting before playing third-party content.
Or let it run in the cloud
For a prerecorded worship video or playlist that should run continuously as a YouTube Live stream, StreamNeo is a cloud option: upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting a camera feed.
